# Afia Oil Animated Commercial

Afia Oil Animated Commercial is a video meme series riffing on 2000s-era CGI advertisements for the Saudi Arabian corn oil brand Afia, featuring dancing anthropomorphic vegetables. Starting in September 2025, YouTuber Noo paired the vintage footage with an Arabic song by Syrian artist RAMİ ORGG, and by November 2025 TikTokers were producing AI-generated reedits swapping the vegetables for car parts and other objects[1].

## Origin
On November 20th, 2008, Moroccan animator Nabil Rami uploaded a CGI commercial he said he worked on for Afia corn oil, picking up around 60,000 views over 17 years[5]. A separate Afia Oil ad in the same style had already been posted by YouTuber Sarry Shaaban on August 21st, 2007, where it collected over 426,000 views and 21,000 likes[6].

The meme itself started on September 1st, 2025, when YouTuber Noo uploaded a video combining clips from both animated Afia ads with a song RAMİ ORGG had performed in a March 2024 video[2]. Noo's upload reached over 961,300 views and 35,000 likes within three months, giving the dancing-vegetables footage a new soundtrack that would carry it onto other platforms[2].

## Overview
Afia Oil Animated Commercial memes stitch footage from vintage CGI ads for Afia corn oil, a Saudi Arabian brand, onto an Arabic track by Syrian artist RAMİ ORGG[2]. A typical post opens with the original low-polygon tomatoes, corn and oil bottles bouncing in sync with the song, which gives the dated animation a hypnotic, almost ritual quality in short-form video feeds[1].

Variations split into two main lanes. Straight reposts loop the untouched footage over the song or a bass-boosted remix by Rose Rot, while a second wave of AI-generated edits keeps the Afia dance choreography but swaps the vegetables for anthropomorphic car parts, home appliances or other objects[3]. Dance videos filmed to the audio also became a format in their own right, with creators mimicking the stiff CGI movements of the original produce[4].

## How to Use
Creators typically layer the Afia Oil song, or the Rose Rot bass-boosted version, over the original CGI ad footage or over new content that imitates its energy. A common convention is to run AI tools on the vegetables so they turn into cars, appliances or other dancing objects while keeping the song and camera moves intact[3]. Dance posts filmed to the audio often include stiff, repetitive choreography that nods to the robotic animation of the source clips[4].
