# Anakin Skywalker Gen Z Male Rage Memes Starting in early October 2026, young men on X began recasting Anakin Skywalker's prequel-era anger at the Jedi Council as a stand-in for their own frustrations with institutions, dating and politics. By late October, commentator Matt Walsh's viral dismissal of the prequels poured fuel on the trend, with users photoshopping him as Jedi Master Ki-Adi-Mundi. ## Origin The trend draws on Anakin's prequel arc, where Jedi Master Ki-Adi-Mundi doubts him from the start of The Phantom Menace and his resentment of the Order grows across the films[6]. In early-to-mid October 2026, X users began repurposing those scenes to argue that Anakin reads like a disillusioned young man rejecting institutions that failed him[6]. One of the earliest known posts in this register came from @ArchitectOracle on October 11, 2026, who used the shot of Anakin burning after his duel with Obi-Wan to represent the life of a zoomer, pulling more than 170,000 views and 16,000 likes over the following weeks[3]. On October 16, @Isaac556x45 posted an Anakin crying edit explicitly addressing "Gen Z men," and the next day @Con_Tomlinson quote-tweeted it to name the budding trend[2][7]. - **Platform:** X / Twitter - **Creator:** Unknown (earliest known poster @ArchitectOracle) - **Date:** 2026 ## Overview Anakin Skywalker Gen Z Male Rage Memes, also known as Anakin Skywalker Young Men Disillusionment Edits, pair scenes from The Phantom Menace, Attack of the Clones and Revenge of the Sith with captions about dating, immigration, AI, nationalism and institutional distrust[1]. Obi-Wan Kenobi and the Jedi Council typically stand in for Baby Boomers or detached elites, while Anakin plays the aggrieved zoomer who tried to work inside the system before snapping[2]. A typical post lifts a familiar prequel beat, Anakin burning on Mustafar, crying in the Jedi Temple, or arguing with the Council, and layers a caption that reframes his rage as a Gen Z grievance[3]. Some edits lean straight political, others play the greentext story format for laughs, and the darker variants treat Anakin as a tragic figure whose turn to the Dark Side reads less like villainy than inevitability[4][5]. ## Frequently Asked Questions ### What is Anakin Skywalker Gen Z Male Rage Memes?
