# Badussy War Badussy War is a late-2021 TikTok and Stan Twitter trend that treats the slang term "badussy" as the subject of a fictional 1904 to 1991 conflict, with creators posting fake sepia battlefield portraits of celebrities like Nicki Minaj and Cardi B. The joke took off after a November 2021 clip tagged a photoshopped vintage image as "Cardinal Bacillus"[1]. By spring 2022, war footage edits were topping a million plays each on TikTok[7]. ## Origin TikToker @cardibbq posted the earliest known Badussy War video on November 7, 2021, overlaying the text "Rare picture of Cardinal Bacillus. She was shot by Nicki Minaj in 1894 in Badussy War" on a sepia photoshop[1]. The clip earned roughly 1.4 million plays and defined the template of aged celebrity edit, invented military name and funereal audio[4]. Its slowed and reverb edit of Rex Orange County's "Pluto Projector" became the sound most imitators looped[10]. - **Platform:** TikTok (Stan Twitter viral spread) - **Creator:** @cardibbq (earliest known poster) - **Date:** 2021 ## Overview Each clip typically features a photoshopped celebrity or meme icon aged into a sepia 1800s war portrait, paired with a slowed and reverb edit of Rex Orange County's "Pluto Projector"[1]. Creators rebrand their subjects as fake generals and colonels with names like "Cardiac B. Arrest" or "Cardinal Bacillus," and overlay somber text claiming the figure was shot or betrayed in a specific year of the imaginary war[4]. The humor forces campy Stan Twitter icons, including Kim Kardashian, Trisha Paytas, James Charles and Jiafei, into a straight-faced historical drama. Fan contributors on the Badussy War Fandom wiki fleshed out an elaborate lore, dating the conflict's start to 1903 when "Cardiac B. Arrest, supreme queen of Bussyland" had a trade meeting with Queen Abby Lee of the ALDC that ended in a wig snatching[9]. Later videos invented civilian characters too, like "tesla honda civic dunn, a scientist teacher who saved her students from an explosion" in 1945[2]. ## How to Use Creators typically start with a photoshopped vintage portrait of a celebrity or meme icon, desaturated to sepia or black-and-white, and rename them into a fake general such as "Cardiac B. Arrest". The slowed and reverb edit of "Pluto Projector" plays over text that claims a dramatic fate at a specific date in the 1904 to 1991 war[10]. ## Frequently Asked Questions ### What is Badussy War?
