Overview

Best Of Zach is a set of memes built around an Oney Plays video called "Best Of Zach" and its thumbnail, a cartoon portrait of Zach, better known as the YouTuber PsychicPebbles, set against a bright pink background1. The image floated around Reddit and X through the early 2020s as an inside reference for Oney Plays fans2.

The joke picked up a lot more speed in mid-2026, when an animated edit of the thumbnail paired with a scrappy amateur rap song looping the phrase "best of Zach, mm" started circulating on X3. From there the still image, the rap clip and text riffs on both turned into a shared shorthand across the Oney Plays audience and beyond6.

The source video was uploaded on May 12th, 2020 by Oney Plays, a gaming channel run by animator Chris O'Neill and friends, as a six-hour compilation of clips featuring Zach, aka PsychicPebbles1. It pulled in more than 12 million views over the following six years1.

An early meme derivative appeared on March 31st, 2022, when Redditor KittoBitto posted a "This Touchdown's For You" style edit referencing the video to /r/OneyPlays, where it collected over 1,200 upvotes2.

How It Spread

The meme jumped platforms on June 23rd, 2026, after X user @DinkyKong64 quote-posted an Oney Plays tweet promoting a "best of" hat with an animated version of the pink thumbnail scored to a short rap that opens on the line "Best of Zach, mm"3. The post pulled in over 4,700 likes and 141,000 views inside three weeks3.

On July 12th, 2026, X user @Tym3B0Mb reposted the rap clip with the caption "what bladee sounds like when u aren't 15 anymore," tying the amateur track to Swedish rapper Bladee's cloud-rap sound and picking up more than 8,700 likes in two days4. A day later, @sillyfella600 posted a still-image edit of the pink thumbnail that cleared over 12,000 likes on July 13th, 20265.

Across those three posts the meme locked in two overlapping formats, the image macro built from the cartoon thumbnail and the audio meme built from the "Best of Zach" rap, both feeding back into Oney Plays fan spaces on Reddit and X6.

How to Use This Meme

People typically use the pink cartoon thumbnail as a reaction image or crop it into image macros, often paired with an Oney Plays or PsychicPebbles reference5. The audio version is commonly overlaid on unrelated video edits so the "Best of Zach, mm" hook plays over the clip3.
