# Bo Burnham's "Bezos I" Bezos I, also known as Jeffery, Jeffery Bezos, is a short mock-triumphant song from Bo Burnham's 2021 Netflix special Inside aimed at Amazon founder Jeff Bezos. In late June 2021 the track slid onto TikTok, where creators set its ironic hype vocals against footage of Amazon workers slogging through tornado wreckage and flooded streets. By July 2021 clips using the sound reached tens of millions of views, and YouTuber ClearlyConfused posted an animated music video for the full track. ## Origin Bo Burnham released Inside on Netflix on May 30, 2021, a solo musical-comedy special about the COVID-19 pandemic that he filmed, wrote, and performed alone[3]. The special includes a short track titled "Bezos I," which mock-praises Jeff Bezos with lyrics about his dominance over other billionaires and ends on a reference to adrenochrome harvesting[1]. Burnham also uploaded a standalone recording of the song to his official YouTube channel the week of the special's release, which supplied the audio that TikTokers later ripped into their own clips[1]. - **Platform:** Netflix (Inside) / TikTok (viral spread) - **Creator:** Bo Burnham - **Date:** 2021 ## Overview Burnham's track runs under two minutes and ironically celebrates Jeff Bezos as the superior billionaire, placing him above Mark Zuckerberg and Warren Buffett and ending on a line about drinking blood[1]. TikTok users set the song against footage that made its hype read as indictment, including delivery drivers working through disaster zones[2] and warehouse walk-throughs filmed over mocking captions about Bezos[4]. The joke lives in the gap between sound and image. A corporate-flavored anthem plays while viewers watch low-paid labor or stunts about tech monopolies, and captions often address Bezos by the mock-name 'jeffery' or thank Amazon staff for doing 'jeffery's work'[2]. ## How to Use Creators typically set the track against footage that contradicts its hype tone. Common choices include Amazon warehouse interiors and delivery drivers working through storms or floods[2]. Captions often address Bezos as 'jeffery' or thank workers for doing 'jeffery's work,' turning the ironic praise into a protest line[2]. ## Frequently Asked Questions ### What is Bo Burnham's "Bezos I"?
