# Bombchu Girl Bombchu Girl, also known as the Bombchu Bowling Lady, is the blue-haired NPC who runs the bowling alley minigame in the 1998 Nintendo 64 game The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time. Fan art and thirsty tribute posts about her floated through Zelda communities for over two decades, then exploded in October 2026 when the Ocarina of Time remake revealed her updated design on Bluesky and X. ## Origin Nintendo released The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time in Japan on November 21, 1998[4]. Inside Hyrule Castle Town, players can enter the Bombchu Bowling Alley and play a minigame where the game's bombchu enemies are rolled as bowling balls, with a nameless woman behind the counter running the game[4]. Nintendo did not give her a name in the credits or dialogue, so fans invented 'Bombchu Girl' and 'Bombchu Bowling Lady' informally across forum posts, fan art and Tumblr threads throughout the 2000s and 2010s. - **Platform:** Nintendo 64 (source) / Reddit, Bluesky, X (viral spread) - **Creator:** Unknown - **Date:** 1998 ## Overview Posts about the Bombchu Bowling Lady split into two overlapping modes: appreciation of her distinct visual design (blue hair, pink crop top, long eyelashes, green eyes) and openly horny fan art that casts her as a formative crush[3][6]. Posters repeatedly describe her as the 'older girl at the bowling alley,' and one widely shared Bluesky post from April 2026 argued that pre-algorithm music taste came from trying to impress women who looked like her[5]. Many posts lean on her status as a side character given disproportionate attention: a minigame operator who outlived most of the game's named cast in cultural memory[4]. Cosplayers and illustrators reuse her look, and the character's name sometimes functions as its own punchline about Zelda fandom's attachment to incidental NPCs[7]. ## How to Use Content tagged with the Bombchu Girl label typically falls into fan illustrations, cosplay or thirsty one-liners that describe her as the archetypal older crush of 1990s gaming[5][7]. A common convention is preserving her core palette, blue hair, pink top and green eyes, while placing her in or near the bowling alley setting[6]. Posters often add a caption referencing the 2026 Ocarina of Time remake or Nintendo 64 side-character nostalgia. ## Frequently Asked Questions ### What is Bombchu Girl?
