# Boo Trend Boo Trend is a TikTok format where creators cross their eyes, say 'boo,' and lean toward the camera for comic effect, often while secretly filming unsuspecting boyfriends or relatives attempting the same face. The gag started in mid-to-late September 2026 with a video from TikToker @v99191 and spread fast to Instagram Reels and K-pop fan edits featuring ENHYPEN's Sunoo. By October 2026, prank versions filmed on family members brought individual videos past 2.6 million views. ## Origin On September 20th, 2026, TikTok user @v99191 posted a video captioned 'Booooo #boooo #relatable #funny #blowthisup' featuring the cross-eyed face that would define the format. The clip collected over 8.4 million views and 1.1 million likes within three weeks[1]. Follow-up recreations surfaced on TikTok through late September 2026, with each new upload referencing the original face and 'boo' sound[6]. - **Platform:** TikTok (viral spread to Instagram Reels) - **Creator:** @v99191 - **Date:** 2026 ## Overview Boo Trend works through a simple visual gag. A creator looks into the camera, crosses their eyes as hard as they can, says 'boo,' and often brings their face closer to the lens for exaggerated effect[1]. Posts frequently add zoom cuts, slow music, or spliced-in photos of K-pop idols making the same expression[2]. ENHYPEN member Sunoo in particular showed up in early edits that stitched his candid face shots next to the trend's signature pose[2]. A prank layer defines much of the format. Creators convince a boyfriend, dad, or cousin to try the face with them 'on three,' record both takes, then post only the other person's embarrassing attempt while cutting their own participation out of the final video[5]. The twist lands when the victim realizes the premise was a setup. Tone sits somewhere between affectionate teasing and public shaming, and comment sections split along similar lines[6]. ## How to Use A typical Boo Trend video opens with a creator facing the camera. They cross their eyes, say 'boo,' and lean in close for the punchline. For the common prank version, a creator sets up a bit with a friend or family member who has not seen the trend, asks them to copy along, then posts only the other person's take while cutting their own face from the clip[7]. Many posts also layer in zoomed-in photos of K-pop idols with similar expressions, with ENHYPEN's Sunoo appearing in early viral edits[2]. ## Frequently Asked Questions ### What is Boo Trend?
