# Correct Gaming Posture Correct Gaming Posture / Incorrect Gaming Posture is a redraw template that Twitter artist @SealGuy1 posted on November 6, 2023, contrasting a hunched man at his desk with the same character sitting up straight while dressed as a woman. The original sketch collected over 35,000 likes in eleven days and sent other illustrators into a short redraw trend on Twitter/X, pulling in characters from Helltaker, Pokémon, and other franchises through mid-November. ## Origin On November 6, 2023, Twitter user @SealGuy1 posted the original diagram contrasting an 'incorrect' male gaming posture with a 'correct' one showing the same figure in feminine clothing[1]. The post gained steady traction over the following days, drawing over 6,200 retweets and 35,000 likes by mid-November, per Know Your Meme's tally[3]. @SealGuy1 followed the viral post with an Are Ya Winning Son? crossover on November 10, 2023, which attracted roughly 22,000 likes within a week[6]. The follow-up placed the posture character inside another familiar meme template, giving fans a second reference to riff on. - **Platform:** Twitter/X - **Creator:** @SealGuy1 - **Date:** 2023 ## Overview In the base image, two drawings sit side by side with labels calling one posture 'incorrect' and the other 'correct'[1]. The incorrect side shows a slouched man in casual clothes bent over a keyboard, while the correct side has the same character sitting bolt upright, now wearing a dress, thigh-highs, and a bow. The visual gag plays on the 'femboy gamer' trope and the implied punchline that dressing feminine somehow improves gaming ergonomics[3]. Redraws preserved the two-panel structure and the posture contrast while placing established characters into the two roles. Participants used anime protagonists, Pokémon trainers, and figures from indie games, retaining SealGuy1's original annotations as a running joke[2]. A few artists went in another direction, producing fan art and 3D renders of SealGuy1's original character instead of adapting the layout to a new fandom[5]. ## How to Use Participants typically use a two-panel layout with 'incorrect' on the left and 'correct' on the right, labeling the hunched figure and the upright, feminine figure respectively. Common conventions include preserving the original annotations, slouching the 'incorrect' character into a keyboard, and giving the 'correct' version a dress and thigh-highs. Artists often substitute characters from a specific fandom so the joke lands for that audience. ## Frequently Asked Questions ### What is Correct Gaming Posture?
