Overview

The Donald Trump With Toilet Paper On Foot meme is built around a brief news clip of President Donald Trump climbing the stairs to Air Force One with a long white strip trailing from his right shoe1. Viewers quickly read the strip as toilet paper, and screengrabs of the moment traveled further than the raw footage2. The joke worked because it caught the sitting U.S. president during an official moment on the tarmac, turning a minor wardrobe mishap into an easy punchline about the Trump administration4.
