# Eeby Deeby Eeby Deeby started as the robot babble of Twiki from the 1979 TV show Buck Rogers in the 25th Century and resurfaced decades later as a two-panel comic edit, usually paired with the line 'Your dick cold.' By late 2019, Imgur users were swapping speech bubbles in classic comic strips to put the gag between characters in suggestive poses. ## Origin Twiki, the chattering sidekick robot played by Felix Silla, said 'eeby deeby' repeatedly across the three-season run of Buck Rogers in the 25th Century, which premiered in 1979[2]. YouTuber ltariel uploaded a looped remix of the robot delivering the phrase on November 27, 2012, reaching more than 145,000 views[1]. The comic-edit version came years later. On October 18, 2019, Imgur user MetaPathos posted the earliest documented edit of a Buck Rogers comic strip panel with the 'Your dick cold / Eeby Deeby' speech bubbles[3]. A Me.me scrape of a similar image dated September 18, 2019 suggests the edit may have come from somewhere earlier, though no original source is confirmed[5]. - **Platform:** Buck Rogers TV show (phrase) / Imgur (meme spread) - **Creator:** MetaPathos (earliest known comic edit) - **Date:** 2019 ## Overview Edits pair one character saying 'Your dick cold' with another replying 'Eeby Deeby,' typically cropped so the two figures look mid-coitus. The original image used a newspaper strip panel of Twiki from Buck Rogers, whose cartoon beeping gave the robotic reply its absurdity[3]. Later edits recycled stills from unrelated media like Fritz Lang's 1927 film Metropolis[9]. Variations keep the two lines fixed but swap imagery, often sci-fi scenes or old comic panels where character positioning already looks ambiguous. Humor lives in the gap between the vulgar first line and the nonsense robot reply[4]. ## How to Use A typical Eeby Deeby edit takes an existing two-character comic panel or film still, replaces one speech bubble with 'Your dick cold' and the other with 'Eeby Deeby,' and often crops the scene so the characters' posture reads sexually. Common picks include old newspaper comics or vintage sci-fi stills where the composition already looks ambiguous[7]. ## Frequently Asked Questions ### What is Eeby Deeby?
