# Flight Driving a Shoe FlightReacts uploaded his rap song "Heat Cheque" to SoundCloud on November 24, 2019, with cover art showing the YouTuber hunched over the wheel of a red and white Air Jordan 3 as smoke poured from the engine. Four years later, TikTok users cropped and recolored the artwork, turning what became known as Flight Driving a Shoe or Flight Driving a Jordan 3 into a reaction image that gained over 115,000 likes on a single January 2025 X post. ## Origin On November 24, 2019, YouTuber and streamer FlightReacts uploaded "Heat Cheque" to SoundCloud, collecting more than 784,000 plays over the following six years[1]. The cover showed Flight gripping a steering wheel inside a white and red Air Jordan 3 as flames and smoke billowed from the engine, his tongue lolling and his eyes blank white[6]. The photoshop was made for the song release and sat largely unnoticed as a meme for roughly three years before TikTok picked it back up. - **Platform:** SoundCloud (source image) / TikTok (viral spread) - **Creator:** FlightReacts (cover art) - **Date:** 2019 ## Overview The joke works through visual absurdity. Flight sits inside a car-shaped sneaker with his tongue out and whited-out eyes while the engine burns, giving posters a face that works for captions about disbelief, exhaustion or music that hits a specific nerve[6]. Common captions ask what song, movie or ingested substance produced the pictured expression, with the artwork standing in for an extreme reaction[4]. The template often appears in music-fandom subreddits, where someone asks what song by a specific artist makes listeners look like Flight in the picture. On /r/tallyhall, users carried the same joke over to the band's discussion threads[5]. Later uses on X leaned on the picture alone, with captions calling it one of the funniest photos ever taken[9]. ## Frequently Asked Questions ### What is Flight Driving a Shoe?
