# Freddy Five Bear Freddy Five Bear, also known as At Least They Don't Look Like Freddy Fazbear, started in July 2023 when TikToker @xenontf stitched a transphobic video and derailed into an awkward Five Nights at Freddy's lore rant, almost calling Freddy Fazbear 'Freddy Five Bear.' The bit stayed niche for months before other TikTokers copied the format in January 2024, inserting characters like Vegeta and Arthur Morgan into the same interruption gag. ## Origin On July 29th, 2023, TikToker @xenontf posted a Stitch responding to a @daterightstuff clip in which the TikToker says, 'Teach your boys to become men before their teachers teach them to become women.' In the Stitch, @xenontf cuts him off with, 'At least they're not being taught by Five Nights at Freddy's,' then rambles about FNAF lore, almost calling Freddy Fazbear 'Freddy Five Bear' in the process[1]. The video drew over 2.4 million views in six months[2]. @xenontf, who posts as XenonTheFox, kept running the same bit against the same TikToker through late 2023. An October 6th follow up Stitch hit over 3 million views in three months, and a November 5th version added over 1.1 million views in two months[6][7]. - **Platform:** TikTok (origin) / Reddit (copypasta spread) - **Creator:** @xenontf (XenonTheFox) - **Date:** 2023 ## Overview Each clip follows the same beat. A TikTok Stitch cuts into a video, usually one by right-wing TikToker @daterightstuff making a transphobic point, and before the speaker can finish, a character or person launches into a long rambling monologue about Five Nights at Freddy's lore[1]. The payoff is the deflection itself, treating a bigoted talking point as less interesting than animatronic bear trivia. Posters often misspeak Freddy Fazbear's name as 'Freddy Five Bear' mid rant, which gave the format one of its titles[2]. Later versions keep the Stitch structure but trade the human host for fictional characters delivering the FNAF tangent. Vegeta from Dragon Ball, Arthur Morgan from Red Dead Redemption 2, and generic cartoon aliens all show up giving the same awkward lecture about Freddy Fazbear[3][4]. By early 2024 the format moved off video entirely into two text copypastas on r/copypasta, both written as a first person FNAF ramble in response to anti-trans rhetoric[5]. ## How It Spread The format stayed mostly contained to @xenontf's account through the end of 2023 before copycats picked it up during the holidays. On December 29th, 2023, TikToker @overweight_steve posted a version featuring Vegeta from Dragon Ball interrupting the same transphobic TikToker, reaching over 900,000 views in two months[3]. A few days later, on January 2nd, 2024, @buddyboy768 posted a version where a cartoon alien breaks in to deliver the FNAF rant, getting over 40,000 views in two days[4]. January 3rd was the day the format broke out. @johnmarstonbacon posted a take starring Arthur Morgan from Red Dead Redemption 2 that pulled over 900,000 views in under 24 hours, and @_bakeonsalad posted another variation the same day that passed 1.1 million views within a day[8][9]. Both relied on the same gag of pairing a famous character with the awkward Freddy Fazbear tangent. From there the bit jumped to Reddit as copypasta. On January 4th, 2024, user slurpshlorp posted a text version titled 'Freddy Fivebear' to r/copypasta, which collected over 150 upvotes[10]. A day later, user XxXSisterfisterXxX posted a second variant titled 'at least they didn't give birth to freddy fazbear,' which hit over 240 upvotes[5]. A mirror of one copypasta was also indexed on copypastatext.com[11]. ## Frequently Asked Questions ### What is Freddy Five Bear?
