# Her Curls
Her Curls refers to a March 2020 X post by @kimliptron, a fan account for K-pop idol Kim Lip of Loona, that showed two photos of the singer with pin-straight hair above the caption "HER CURLS 😩😍." The gag circulated as a reference joke for years before returning in October 2026 as a TikTok template, where the top edits replaced the photos with anime characters and the caption with "HIS FEATS."
## Origin
On March 15, 2020, X user @kimliptron, a fan page for Loona member Kim Lip, posted two photos of the singer with straight hair and wrote "HER CURLS 😩😍." The account and original tweet were later deleted, but screenshots preserved the post[3].
The earliest known repost came on December 15, 2020, when iFunny user reducedmemelordk_2020 uploaded the screenshot, where it sat at about two likes over the next six years[8].
- **Platform:** X / Twitter (origin), TikTok (2026 exploitable spread)
- **Creator:** @kimliptron (original post); @randomdude_0101 made the earliest widely-shared "HIS FEATS" edit
- **Date:** 2020
## Overview
Her Curls works on the gap between @kimliptron's doting caption and the photos, which show Kim Lip with hair that holds no curl at all[3]. Fans and detractors treated the post as a self-own, with r/curlyhair users captioning the screenshot "Kpop fans wake up and just lie" and sending it past 3,500 upvotes[1]. Deadpan delivery is the whole joke, so reposts keep the caption word-for-word to preserve that disconnect.
In October 2026, creators began using the two-image layout as an exploitable template. Edits retain the "HER CURLS 😩😍" structure but substitute other subjects, often praising a trait the images do not show[2]. An anime-fan branch of the format, labeled "HIS FEATS," places cropped character stills under the same breathless caption[6].
## How to Use
Posts typically start with the "HER CURLS 😩😍" or "HIS FEATS" caption and place two cropped images of the subject underneath. The gag works only when the photos obviously do not show the trait the caption praises, so image selection matters more than the text. Anime-character edits are the common 2026 convention, often naming the trait with a short possessive phrase like "HIS MUSCLES" or "HIS FEATS"[4][6].
