# I'm At Burger King With My Burger Queen "I'm At Burger King With My Burger Queen" is a pop-punk style TikTok song that user @savageprincessz sang inside a Burger King with her friend on October 12, 2021, asking for a large fry over a dramatic emo melody. The clip reached 6.6 million plays within ten days, and the official Burger King TikTok account replied "pop punk is alive and well." Through late October 2021, TikTokers posted covers and parody rewrites swapping in Trader Joe's and Pizza Hut, and the lines ran as a catchphrase on Twitter and Instagram. ## Origin TikToker @savageprincessz uploaded the original on October 12, 2021, filmed inside a Burger King with her friend across the booth[1]. Over the next ten days the video reached roughly 6.6 million plays, 1.5 million likes, and 23,300 comments, and Burger King's official TikTok account chimed in "pop punk is alive and well"[1]. The opening couplet, "I'm at Burger King with my Burger Queen. Can I get a large fry?", set the melody and lyric template later covers would copy[12]. - **Platform:** TikTok - **Creator:** @savageprincessz - **Date:** 2021 ## Overview The joke runs on a melodramatic emo melody paired with mundane fast-food lyrics, performed either inside or outside a chain restaurant[1]. In @savageprincessz's version, she belts the opening line at a friend across the booth before asking for a large fry, playing a Burger King date like a scene from a 2007 Warped Tour music video[12]. Cover versions keep the cadence identical and swap in different partners, outfits, or settings. By the back half of October 2021, singers posted their own takes with emo haircuts, parking-lot sets, and sometimes a full pop-punk instrumental layered under the vocals[3]. Parody rewrites trade Burger King for other businesses while keeping the rhyming couplet: Trader Joe's and a "trader hoe"[8], Pizza Hut and a "pizza slut"[9], or a Goodwill thrift store with "Goodwill whores"[11]. @702nik tweeted a text-only version of the line, and Instagram picked it up in image macros the same week[6]. ## How It Spread Covers landed fast. @itslildevo posted an emo-couple parking-lot version on October 17, which reached 11.7 million plays and 1.9 million likes in four days[2]. @rickyjab took the audio from that cover and layered a pop-punk instrumental under it on October 16, then returned on October 19 with a remix of @savageprincessz's original that drew roughly 804,300 plays and 127,000 likes in two days[4]. @jackyvc added her own sung version on October 20 with about 1.3 million plays inside a day[5]. By October 19, the catchphrase moved onto other platforms. Twitter user @702nik tweeted "at the end of the day I'm just a burger king lookin for his burger queen," drawing roughly 700 likes[6]. Instagram account @biglukethefreak ran the line in an image macro the same day for 671 likes[7]. Food-business swaps carried the trend into late October. @gucci_pineapple rewrote the song about Trader Joe's and his "trader hoe" on October 22, reaching 2.8 million plays and 568,700 likes within ten days[8]. @thot.funny and @adamababon both posted "pizza slut" versions on October 25, with the @adamababon take reaching about 1.4 million plays in a week[10]. @gorbeef closed out the month with a Goodwill thrift-store take on October 30 that drew 1.8 million plays and 451,800 likes in two days[11]. ## How to Use Users typically film themselves at a fast-food counter or in a parking lot with a partner or friend, then sing the pop-punk melody as if auditioning for an emo band. A common convention is swapping Burger King for a different chain and pairing it with a rhyming partner name, like "pizza slut" at Pizza Hut or "trader hoe" at Trader Joe's. Written posts drop the vocals entirely and use the lyric as a romantic caption. ## Frequently Asked Questions ### What is I'm At Burger King With My Burger Queen?
