# I'mma Start Biting People

I'mma Start Biting People, also known as Fuck Being The Bigger Person, I'mma Start Biting People, is a 2020 catchphrase attached to angry animal and character image macros. Instagram page beelovespossums first used it over a drawer-dwelling possum in July, and by December boomer.jim had anchored the format to a scowling young Goob from Meet The Robinsons. By early 2021, Instagram users had moved the caption onto feral raccoons captured mid-snarl.

## Origin
On July 25th, 2020, Instagram meme page beelovespossums posted a photo of a possum tucked into a dresser drawer with the caption 'fuck being the bigger person, I'ma start biting people'[1]. That post gathered more than 7,700 likes over the next year. Four days later a Tumblr blog called webkinzpossum reposted the image, where it collected over 11,400 notes[2]. Who first coined the phrase itself is unconfirmed[5].

The Goob variant arrived months later. On December 6th, 2020, Instagram meme page boomer.jim attached the caption to a shot of young Goob, the villain of Disney's Meet The Robinsons, baring his teeth at a dinner table[3]. That post reached 75,000 likes within a year and set off the chain of reposts that defined the format[5].

## Overview
Posts in this format attach the exact caption 'fuck being the bigger person, I'mma start biting people' to an image of someone or something looking furious enough to actually chomp a stranger. Goob's teeth-baring frown from the 2007 Disney film Meet The Robinsons anchors the Instagram-era version, since the character is a child throwing a tantrum[3]. Other versions use possums[1], raccoons[8], and similar trash-prone animals snarling at the camera[9].

The joke works as mock-threatening venting, where the poster abandons the high road and resorts to animalistic violence. On Instagram and Reddit, people share it when annoyed about petty grievances, often attaching it to direct-message screenshots and reaction contexts[6]. The slangy 'I'mma' contraction gives the line the written cadence of someone shouting mid-meltdown[7].

## How to Use
A typical version takes a photo of a visibly furious subject, often a scowling cartoon character or a cornered trash animal like a possum or raccoon, and overlays the caption 'fuck being the bigger person, I'mma start biting people' in standard meme type. Common conventions include preserving the lowercase styling and the 'I'mma' contraction. People often post it as a reply or repost when venting about a minor irritation, with the Goob[3] and raccoon[8] images acting as the most-reposted stock bases.
