# It's A Beautiful Day (TikTok Song) It's A Beautiful Day (TikTok Song), also known as Rushawn Ewears, is a viral TikTok sound sampled from a 2017 video of a Jamaican schoolboy singing Jermaine Edwards' gospel track "Beautiful Day" at Top Hill Primary School. The clip sat quietly on Facebook for five years before late-2022 reposts spread it onto TikTok, where DJ duo TRINIX and U.K. drill rapper Prinz posted producer remixes that drew tens of millions of plays each. ## Origin On October 26, 2017, Facebook user Fran Cine shared a video of her student Rushawn Ewears singing "Beautiful Day," a gospel track by Jamaican artist Jermaine Edwards[5], from a classroom at Top Hill Primary School in Jamaica[4]. The Top Hill school page and the Instagram account proudjamaicans reposted the clip later that month, and it stayed inside Jamaican internet circles for roughly five years[8]. YouTuber THE MOSTHIGH reuploaded the recording to YouTube on November 22, 2022, around the same time the clip began spreading onto TikTok[6]. - **Platform:** Facebook (2017) / TikTok (viral spread 2022) - **Creator:** Rushawn Ewears (vocal performance); video filmed by teacher Fran Cine - **Date:** 2017 ## Overview Posts using the sound usually center on the earnest a cappella vocal of then-schoolboy Rushawn Ewears, who sings the lyric "Lord I thank you for sunshine, thank you for rain, thank you for joy, thank you for pain" with an almost prayerful cadence. Creators mostly set the audio over gratitude montages, slow-motion sunrise clips, or wholesome life-update videos, where the sincerity of the singing carries the emotional tone[1]. Producer remixes shifted the sound into an entirely different lane, with DJ duo TRINIX layering a tropical house beat under the vocal[2] and Prinz chopping it over a U.K. drill instrumental[3]. The two moods, worshipful original and club-ready edit, now coexist on the For You page under the same hook. ## How to Use To use the sound, TikTokers typically overlay the audio on earnest, gratitude-themed footage like sunrises, family moments, or baby milestones, letting Rushawn Ewears' vocal carry the sentiment. The TRINIX and Prinz edits shift the mood toward dance clips, workout content, and lifestyle montages, so creators often pick a remix when they want upbeat energy instead of the raw singing[2]. ## Frequently Asked Questions ### What is It's A Beautiful Day (TikTok Song)?
