# It's Wizard Time, Fireball! It's Wizard Time, Fireball! is a catchphrase ripped from wizard enemy voice lines in the 2022 Doom mod Reelism 2, stitched together by fans to make the wizard yell "It's wizard time, motherfuckers, fireball!" By late 2022, the audio was powering animated YouTube shorts and TikTok lip-sync skits, including a viral Baldur's Gate 3 lag joke in August 2023[9]. ## Origin Version 1.0 of Reelism 2, built by the 300 Pounds team, shipped on April 15th, 2022 for GZDoom, and one of its levels pits the player against a wizard enemy whose shouted taunts include the "wizard time" and "fireball" lines[1][2]. On July 7th, 2022, YouTuber Koolaidman7 uploaded the earliest known fan edit, cutting the two voice clips together over footage of someone lighting a fire inside a car[3]. The original upload is embed-unavailable on Know Your Meme, with the fact documented in the site's entry[5]. On August 11th, 2022, YouTuber Kzinssie posted a straight compilation of every wizard voice clip from the mod, which became the go-to sound bank that later remixers pulled from[4]. - **Platform:** Reelism 2 mod (source) / YouTube and TikTok (viral spread) - **Creator:** Unknown (Doom mod Reelism 2 by 300 Pounds; earliest known fan edit by YouTuber Koolaidman7) - **Date:** 2022 ## Overview The clip comes from a wizard enemy in Reelism 2, a 2022 mod for Doom II that drops the player into randomized arenas with gag enemies and absurd weapons[1]. Fans spliced two separate wizard voice lines, "It's wizard time, motherfucker" and "Fireball!", into a single shout that became the audio bed for shorts, animations and TikTok skits[5]. Most edits use the splice as a punchline over a visual that mimes casting a spell, including hand-drawn animations where a cartoon wizard launches a fireball, or live-action skits where someone "casts" the line at a mundane target like a lagging video game or a car fire[3][9]. The joke sits in the same lane as other Doom-mod audio exports: a gruff, over-serious voice reading goofy fantasy dialogue, which fans redeploy in contexts the original mod never intended. ## Frequently Asked Questions ### What is It's Wizard Time, Fireball!?
