# Kang Council Cheering
A mid-credits scene from Marvel's 2023 film Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania, showing a stadium packed with Kang the Conqueror variants roaring in approval, became a TikTok exploitable in May 2023. Paired with a slowed and reverbed remix of Haddaway's "What Is Love," the clip turned into a POV template about imaginary audiences cheering mundane personal victories.
## Origin
Marvel Studios released Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania in US theaters on February 17th, 2023, and the mid-credits scene cut to a stadium of Kang variants being summoned by three council leaders, roaring their approval[3]. Marvel developed the film; the meme format was built by fans, not the studio.
The earliest known memetic use came on May 20th, 2023, when TikToker @zxtic_films paired the scene with a POV caption casting the Kangs as shampoo bottles witnessing the poster win an imaginary shower argument[4]. That video used a slowed and reverbed "What Is Love" remix hosted on TikTok, and the sound became the anchor other creators grabbed when iterating[2]. Within about 17 days the clip picked up roughly 1.5 million plays and 314,700 likes, per the metrics on the post[4].

## Overview
Kang Council Cheering, also called Council of Kangs Cheering or Kangs Celebrando in Spanish, is a video exploitable built from a few seconds of footage showing hundreds of Jonathan Majors-played Kang variants screaming in a packed arena[1]. On TikTok, creators overlay a POV caption describing some trivial personal win, then let the clip play as the "audience" reaction, scored by a slowed and reverbed remix of Haddaway's "What Is Love"[2].
The humor rides on scale mismatch. A multiversal council of warlords is cast as the hype crowd for something small, like winning a shower argument with yourself or buying a video game cosmetic. Posts seldom reference the plot of Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania at all, and the format sits closer to Mike O'Hearn's "Baby Don't Hurt Me" edits in tone, trading on the same "What Is Love" audio family[1].
## How to Use
A typical Kang Council Cheering post keeps the stadium clip untouched and layers a POV caption on top, usually in the format "POV: [small or absurd thing] watching me [action]." Creators commonly keep the TikTok sound (the slowed "What Is Love" remix) rather than muting it, since the audio does most of the comedic work[2]. Captions often cast inanimate objects, ancestors, or past selves as the stand-in Kang audience.
