# Let's Take Ibuprofen Together "Let's Take Ibuprofen Together" is a 2022 Tumblr catchphrase paired with anime fan art of a smiling character offering their hand with the headache pill. Posted in July 2022 by user partyanimalskorea using art from the hentai manga Benigyokuzui, the phrase bounced across Tumblr, Twitter and Instagram over the following months. By September 2022 a Dungeon Meshi lion version from @odogaron hit 93,000 likes on Twitter in a single day. ## Origin Tumblr user partyanimalskorea posted the first version on July 1, 2022, attaching the lowercase caption "lets take ibuprofen together" to fan art of a character from the hentai manga Benigyokuzui[9]. The underlying artwork had sat on Safebooru since November 2011, long before the ibuprofen line was added[1]. Reblogs reworked the image itself before the catchphrase traveled off-platform. User sweetnrr reposted a photo of the picture nailed to a tree, and user sug4rc4ne edited it to look like a note from the Slender Man video game[9]. The original Tumblr thread reached over 51,800 notes by September 2022[3]. - **Platform:** Tumblr (origin) / Twitter and Instagram (viral spread) - **Creator:** partyanimalskorea (Tumblr) - **Date:** 2022 ## Overview Fan art of a soft-smiling anime character extending an open hand drives the joke. A typical post crops close to the character's smile and outstretched palm, with the lowercase caption "lets take ibuprofen together" set below in plain Tumblr body text[1]. The format sits near My Little PogChamp, where anime characters pose with meme-ready gestures and short captions[3]. Remixes keep the hand-out pose and change the character. Riku from Kingdom Hearts offering his hand to Sora[5], an anthro lion from Dungeon Meshi[7] and a glitter rework of the Benigyokuzui original[8] all repeat the gesture without touching the caption. The tone stays warm and tired, as if the character is bonding with the viewer over a shared migraine. ## How to Use Posters typically replace the character with another anime or manga figure in a similar hand-out pose while keeping the lowercase caption word-for-word. The pose matters more than the series, so an anthro lion, a Kingdom Hearts protagonist and the original Benigyokuzui art all read as the same joke[7][5]. ## Frequently Asked Questions ### What is Let's Take Ibuprofen Together?
