# lilgayboy45 A TikTok account named lilgayboy45 posted its first stitch in July 2022, cutting a Jimmy Fallon clip to a black screen flashing its username over a text-to-speech jingle. Within three days the bait-and-switch format earned millions of plays, and by late 2022 TikTok banned the account. Copycat profiles like Pastacat48 and Goofydoggy13 kept the gag going with new usernames. ## Origin On July 17th, 2022, the TikTok account @lilgayboy45 posted its debut stitch using a clip from the official Tonight Show account, in which Jimmy Fallon dressed as Vecna from Stranger Things attempted the Coke and Mentos Challenge[2]. The stitch cut Fallon off with the signature black screen and jingle, and racked up around 362,100 plays and 49,400 likes in four days before the video and account were later removed[1][8]. - **Platform:** TikTok - **Creator:** @lilgayboy45 (TikTok) - **Date:** 2022 ## Overview Every lilgayboy45 upload followed the same bait-and-switch recipe. A TikTok stitch would start with an unrelated clip, usually something popular on the For You page, then abruptly cut to a black screen with the word "lilgayboy45" in white text while a sing-song text-to-speech voice chanted the username as a short jingle[1]. The payoff was the gag itself: viewers expected a reaction or follow-up, and instead got the account's handle. As the account went viral in mid-2022, other TikTokers started weaving the jingle into their own videos and inventing variations on the username[8]. Spin-off accounts including Pastacat48 and Goofydoggy13 copied the exact format, stitching random videos with their own black-screen interruptions and TTS songs[8]. Urban Dictionary entries from the same window described the catchy singing TTS voice as the whole point of the appeal[9]. ## Frequently Asked Questions ### What is lilgayboy45?
