# Low Vibration Plate On October 2, 2022, life coach Stormy Wellington told fellow coach Tammy Price that her heaping barbecue plate had 'low vibration' energy and refused to eat it on camera, sparking a viral TikTok that spilled onto Twitter within hours[1]. By October 4, users were captioning photos of piled-high cookout plates with the phrase as a badge of honor, flipping Wellington's lecture into a punchline[2]. ## Origin TikToker Tammy Price, who markets herself as an inspirational speaker and life coach, posted the original video on October 2, 2022[1]. In the clip, she sits with Stormy Wellington and a third woman, each holding a paper plate of barbecue, and Wellington tells her, 'I would never eat a plate that look like this. It's low vibration'[1]. Price frames the moment as a lesson about not accepting whatever people put in front of you, with Wellington adding that someone else serving the food did not obligate her to eat it[5]. The TikTok reached roughly 500,000 views within two days[5]. - **Platform:** TikTok (origin) / Twitter (viral spread) - **Creator:** Tammy Price - **Date:** 2022 ## Overview The clip puts a lecture about discipline and energy next to a very normal barbecue scene, which is why so many people latched onto the mismatch[2]. Wellington's plate holds a modest portion while Price's is stacked with ribs, mac and cheese, and sides, and the gap between the two became the whole joke for viewers who found Wellington's reasoning absurd at a cookout[1]. In the Twitter format that followed, users typically posted overhead shots of their own heavily loaded paper plates and tagged them as 'low vibration,' owning the label instead of apologizing for the serving size[3]. The phrase worked as reclaimed slang for unbothered big-plate pride, aimed partly at the self-help jargon the original video used[4]. Within days, 'low vibration plate' was being used on Twitter as a straight synonym for a messy, piled-high cookout dish[5]. ## How to Use To use the format, people typically share an overhead photo of a visibly overloaded paper plate at a cookout, cafeteria, or holiday meal, then tag it as 'low vibration' or label themselves with some count of 'low vibration plates'[3]. The caption usually leans into pride about the serving size instead of embarrassment, which inverts Wellington's original lecture[6]. ## Frequently Asked Questions ### What is Low Vibration Plate?
