# Maple Syrup Footjob On January 26, 2023, Instagram user slayworldalbania posted a cat image macro captioned about getting a footjob with syrup under a Denny's table, launching a bizarre absurdist format. The joke spread through 2023 as creators remixed it into reaction edits using Rocket Raccoon screams and Five Nights at Freddy's clips to voice characters refusing the request. By July, Redditors were adapting it to hospital POV images on r/oddlyspecific. ## Origin On January 26, 2023, Instagram user slayworldalbania posted the earliest known entry in the format: a cat image macro captioned, "the waiter at Denny's seeing me get a footjob with syrup under the table" [1]. The post reached over 2,800 likes in the months after it went up, according to Know Your Meme's documentation of the Maple Syrup Footjob format [7]. - **Platform:** Instagram (origin) / TikTok (viral spread) - **Creator:** slayworldalbania (earliest known poster) - **Date:** 2023 ## Overview The format pairs a Denny's-themed confession about a syrup-lubricated footjob with a reaction image or clip showing pain, horror, or disgust. A common wording is "No, I will not give you a maple syrup footjob," attached to a screaming character or a shocked face [1]. Early examples used still images of cats or stock photos, while later versions moved to TikTok edits built from film and video game clips [4]. Humor relies on the specificity of Denny's as the setting and syrup as the lubricant, which turns an already graphic premise into something surreal and sticky. Posters often flip the perspective so the narrator is the one being asked rather than asking, producing the "refusing" variant that dominates most Maple Syrup Footjob edits [5]. The joke works mainly through context collision, placing a vulgar request inside a mundane American chain-diner scene [6]. ## How It Spread On March 1, 2023, Instagram user god_danngit_bobby reworked the image macro and reached over 14,500 likes within five months [2]. Instagram user stinksmellyv2 reposted the original macro on June 4 and hit roughly 9,900 likes in two months [3]. Maple Syrup Footjob jumped to TikTok on June 9, 2023, when @peep_clashofcoc set Rocket Raccoon's screaming to the caption, "No, I'm not giving you a maple syrup footjob under the table at Denny's," reaching more than 41,000 views in two months [4]. On July 3, @medieval_wizard adapted the premise to Five Nights at Freddy's footage and drew over 637,000 views within a month [5]. Follow-up TikTok videos through the summer kept the "refusing" structure with new source clips [8][9]. On July 4, 2023, Redditor u/frenchie04103 brought the joke to r/oddlyspecific with a hospital POV photo captioned, "Do NOT get a syrupy footjob under the table from a goth girl at Denny's," which hit more than 20,100 upvotes in a month [6]. ## How to Use Pair a reaction image or video showing shock, pain, or screaming with a caption that either confesses to or refuses a syrup-lubricated Denny's footjob. The typical wording is "No, I will not give you a maple syrup footjob," though variants swap the setting detail ("under the table," "from a goth girl") to keep the premise fresh [6]. ## Frequently Asked Questions ### What is Maple Syrup Footjob?
