# Mc Mirella Sobrancelha Brazilian funk singer MC Mirella's sharply raised eyebrow became an exploitable reaction image on Twitter in July 2021, with users cutting out her brow line and pasting it over cats, dogs, and other celebrities. The format worked as a Portuguese-language cousin to The Rock's Eyebrow Raise, and by late 2021 the strip was showing up on chihuahuas and Bruno Mars. ## Origin The earliest viral post of MC Mirella's expressive brow came on May 4, 2021, when Twitter user @atlaschlmt shared a cropped shot of the singer as part of the Portuguese-language "Imitando Emojis" trend, pairing her face with raised-eyebrow emoji and the Portuguese caption "Imitando Emojis" (Mimicking Emojis, translated from Portuguese)[1]. That tweet picked up 49 likes and seven retweets over the next two years. The exploitable itself arrived about two months later. On July 15, 2021, a since-deleted MC Mirella selfie circulated through Twitter user @cbbyeilish's post, and editors started cutting out just the eyes-and-brow strip to drop onto other images[2]. Know Your Meme points to that selfie as the moment the image flipped from a Brazilian pop culture clip into a reusable reaction template[4]. - **Platform:** Twitter - **Creator:** Unknown (earliest viral post by @atlaschlmt; selfie exploitable popularized by @cbbyeilish) - **Date:** 2021 ## Overview Mc Mirella Sobrancelha, also known as MC Mirella's Eyebrow / Sus Eyebrow, works by isolating the singer's eyes and sharply arched brow from a selfie, then pasting that strip over the face of an animal, celebrity, or any other photo subject[2]. The tone sits between suspicion and sly judgment, which is why English-speaking Twitter kept comparing it to The Rock's Eyebrow Raise[4]. Captions often lean on the raised-eyebrow emoji or the Portuguese line "Imitando Emojis" (Mimicking Emojis), the trend the earliest viral post was tagged with[1]. A typical edit crops the brow line tight so it still reads at thumbnail size, then layers it onto something like a Sigma Cat frame[3] or a chihuahua glance[7]. An Instagram face filter also exists that applies the eyebrow live to anyone pointing a camera at themselves[6]. ## Frequently Asked Questions ### What is Mc Mirella Sobrancelha?
