# Mesugaki Miku Mesugaki Miku is an alternate design of Hatsune Miku drawn as a bratty 'mesugaki' character by X artist NuNuNu, who debuted her in the December 2024 Vocaloid music video 'Mimukauwa Nice Try.' The AMV showed Miku playing Uno while taunting her opponent, and within days it drew heavy pushback from fans who called the design lolibait. By mid-December 2024, r/hatsune threads and TikTok videos were arguing over whether drawing or listening to the song was ethical. ## Origin NuNuNu, an X artist posting as @N____________u (commonly referred to as NuNuNu), teased the Mesugaki Miku design on November 20, 2024, in a short GIF clip that drew more than 24,000 likes over the next three weeks[3]. Two further teasers went up on December 3 and December 4, 2024, pulling roughly 6,000 and 17,000 likes respectively[4]. The full music video, titled 'Mimukauwa Nice Try,' launched on X and YouTube on December 6, 2024, where it hit around 106,000 likes and 19,000 reposts on X plus about 3.9 million YouTube views inside a week[1][2]. In the clip, Mesugaki Miku plays a round of Uno while trash-talking her opponent, wearing the 'you are an idiot' shirt that fans singled out as a visual signature[1]. - **Platform:** X / YouTube (viral spread) - **Creator:** Nunununununununununununununununu (@N____________u, NuNuNu) - **Date:** 2024 ## Overview NuNuNu's design keeps Hatsune Miku's teal twintails but replaces her stage outfit with a crop top printed with the phrase 'you are an idiot,' a reference to the shock website of the same name[1]. In the AMV, Miku grins, sticks her tongue out, and slaps down Uno cards while mocking her off-screen opponent, which locked in what a 'mesugaki' version of Miku looks like[2]. The term 'mesugaki' is Japanese slang for a cocky, bratty little girl, loosely translated as 'sassy brat'[4]. Fans picked up on the taunting pose and the Uno card setup almost immediately, with SFW fan art threads appearing on r/hatsune within three days of the video going live[6]. The character also triggered a running argument over whether the design counted as lolibait, with debates playing out across TikTok, X and Reddit[5][8]. ## How to Use Mesugaki Miku fan art typically shows her in NuNuNu's crop-top outfit with the taunting grin and tongue-out expression from the AMV. Common setups put her at a card table playing Uno or lean on the 'you are an idiot' shirt detail. Artists often use the design as a reaction image for trash talk, gloating about a win, or mocking an opponent in a game[7]. ## Frequently Asked Questions ### What is Mesugaki Miku?
