# Never Let Them Know Your Next Move Never Let Them Know Your Next Move started as a 2018 Facebook image macro of a man whose feet pointed in opposite directions, then mutated into a 2022 TikTok trend based on comedically unpredictable actions. By April 2022, Jake Paul had posted his own version set to Kodak Black's 'Pimpin Ain't Eazy,' with top edits reaching tens of millions of views. ## Origin The earliest known upload traces to October 4th, 2018, when the Facebook page Kiss Me Quick posted a photo of a man at a counter whose feet pointed in opposite directions, captioned with a Snapchat overlay reading 'Never let them know your next step'[1]. The post gathered over 430 reactions and 340 shares within three months[1]. Lil Nas X carried the format onto Twitter on January 3rd, 2019, sharing a photo of a double-edged boot with the line 'i can't be letting niggas know my next move,' which gathered more than 14,900 likes and 4,100 retweets[2]. - **Platform:** Facebook (image macro) / TikTok (viral spread) - **Creator:** Unknown - **Date:** 2018 ## Overview In its original image form, the joke works through visual contradiction: a person's feet, boots or stance point two different ways while the caption claims this strategic ambiguity keeps opponents guessing[1]. Posters apply it to photos of weird footwear angles, awkward crouches, or figures standing with their legs twisted in impossible directions, selling the idea that the subject is a master of misdirection[2]. The TikTok version keeps the caption but replaces feet with action gags. A creator sets up something routine, a goodbye handshake, a sandwich, a doorway, then abruptly does the opposite: turning the wrong way, cramming bread into a peanut butter jar, walking backward through a door[3][6]. Most clips use Kodak Black's 'Pimpin Ain't Eazy' as the audio bed, matching the slow boast of the lyrics to a dumb twist on screen[9]. ## Frequently Asked Questions ### What is Never Let Them Know Your Next Move?
