# OMG X Hi!!! In July 2021, Argentinian Instagram page la_bala_de_nisman uploaded a two-panel stick-figure comic adapted from the Are Ya Winning, Son? layout, showing a sad gamer whose mood flips when someone walks through the door. South American soccer fans ran with it through the fall before Twitter and Tumblr users started inserting cats, crushes and anime characters in late November. By November 30, 2021, one cat-doorway edit from @G0J0C4TBOY had collected roughly 261,900 likes in a month. ## Origin The earliest confirmed post appeared on Instagram on July 17, 2021, when the page la_bala_de_nisman shared a version with Argentine national team coach Lionel Scaloni walking through the door[1]. That post collected around 18,300 likes over the following five months[6]. Whether la_bala_de_nisman also drew the original template or just distributed an existing scan is not confirmed, so the actual artist is unknown. - **Platform:** Instagram (origin) / Twitter (viral spread) - **Creator:** Unknown - **Date:** 2021 ## Overview OMG X Hi!!!, also known as OMG Hi!, is drawn in a loose stick-figure style with heavy pencil-like scribbles. The top panel shows a slumped gamer at a desk, ringed by fuzzy black squiggles that signal depression or loneliness[1]. The bottom panel then shows the same character flushing bright red as something enters the doorway, with the caption 'OMG [X] HI!!!' spelling out whoever or whatever appears. The X slot is where the joke lives. Early editors used Argentine soccer players and fandom figures[1], while later versions filled the doorway with pet cats[4], romantic partners, anime characters and in-jokes about the poster's own interests. The visual contrast between the dark scribble panel and the sudden blush is what gives any new caption its punchline, so edits that commit to the bleak-to-flustered flip tend to collect the most engagement[3]. ## How to Use To make an OMG X Hi!!! edit, keep the two-panel setup: a sad gamer scribble on top and a bright, flustered reaction when someone or something enters the doorway. Common versions label the entering figure with 'OMG [NAME] HI!!!', where the name can be anything from a pet[4] to a crush to a fictional character[3]. Edits typically commit to the stick-figure drawing and the thick squiggle shading in the top panel to preserve the mood flip. ## Frequently Asked Questions ### What is OMG X Hi!!!?
