# "Peaches" by Bowser (Super Mario Bros. Movie) "Peaches" is a love song that Bowser, voiced by Jack Black, performs on piano in The Super Mario Bros. Movie, confessing his obsession with Princess Peach. After the film's April 2023 release, the track went viral on YouTube and TikTok, with Lyrical Lemonade dropping an official music video days later and TikTok users layering the audio over the I Get It Now reaction meme within a week[1][2]. ## Origin The Super Mario Bros. Movie premiered on April 5th, 2023, with Illumination and Nintendo producing and Jack Black voicing Bowser. In one scene, Bowser sits at a piano in his lair and performs "Peaches," a short love song written for Princess Peach[3]. Two days later, on April 7th, Lyrical Lemonade uploaded an official music video directed by Cole Bennett, with Black performing the full track in a Bowser-inspired outfit. That upload passed 6.3 million views within four days[2]. Illumination posted the in-film clip itself to its own YouTube channel on April 10th, 2023, where it drew over 2.2 million views in roughly a day[1]. Nintendo and Illumination produced the film and song; the "meme" use of the audio was driven by fan editors online rather than by the studios. - **Platform:** The Super Mario Bros. Movie (theatrical) / YouTube (viral spread) - **Creator:** Jack Black (performer); Illumination / Nintendo (film) - **Date:** 2023 ## Overview The song runs just over 90 seconds in the film and features Bowser belting out increasingly dramatic declarations of love for Princess Peach while a candelabra burns on his piano. Jack Black delivers the vocals in his signature theatrical rock style, a tone that reads as both earnest and absurd, which is the exact friction that made the clip travel so well as a standalone bit[2]. Online, the song mostly moves as audio. TikTok edits pair the hook with unrelated video, often someone mouthing "Peaches, peaches, peaches, peaches, peaches" with escalating intensity, or the audio overlays a reaction format where the subject stares with sudden recognition[4]. Animators on YouTube took a different route and built new visuals around the track, from parody retools to full engine recreations of the piano scene[5][1]. ## Frequently Asked Questions ### What is "Peaches" by Bowser (Super Mario Bros.
