# Perc 10 Dance In December 2022, TikToker jackfunny313 posted a short clip of himself holding his belt and swaying his hips to YN Jay's Michigan rap track "Perc & Sex," calling it his "Perky Dance."[2] Within weeks, dozens of TikTokers copied the slow belt-grab hip circle, and by January 2023 the lip-dub to the "Perc 10 I Just Popped a Perc 10" lyric was racking up millions of plays per video on TikTok.[1] ## Origin On December 17th, 2022, TikToker jackfunny313 posted the earliest known clip, panning the camera up to himself as he gripped his belt and swayed his hips to "Perc & Sex" by YN Jay, captioning the video "Let Me Do My Perky Dance"[2]. According to Know Your Meme's documentation, the post gathered roughly 687,100 plays and 98,400 likes in its first month on the platform[1]. The song itself is a Michigan rap track by YN Jay that predates the dance; a YouTube upload of the audio is one of the common off-TikTok sources fans used to find the full version[3]. Jackfunny313 did not choreograph a sequence so much as a single move, the belt-grab hip circle, which made it trivial for other users to copy. - **Platform:** TikTok - **Creator:** jackfunny313 - **Date:** 2022 ## Overview Perc 10 Dance, also known as the Perky Dance, is a TikTok trend set to YN Jay's Michigan rap song "Perc & Sex," the one with the hook "How the fuck did you pull up to the motherfuckin' party and forget the percs? Perc 10 I Just Popped a Perc 10"[1]. Participants grab the front of their belt or waistband with both hands and roll their hips in a slow, deliberate circle while lip-dubbing the lyric, usually filming the move in a static mirror or front-facing shot[2]. Most videos start with the dancer scowling at the camera during the "forget the percs?" line, then transitioning into the hip roll on the "Perc 10" beat drop[4]. The song title references Percocet, the prescription opioid shortened in rap slang as a "perc," and the dance itself leans into a woozy, exaggerated sway that mimics the described high[1]. Group versions, hallway edits and front-stoop clips became common as the sound spread through late December 2022 and January 2023. ## Frequently Asked Questions ### What is Perc 10 Dance?
