# Pols Aa Gyi Pols

Pols Aa Gyi Pols is a Punjabi-language viral video from India in which a group of men panic over flashing lights they take for a police raid, only to discover the lights belong to an older bearded man's modified motorbike. Originally posted to Instagram on January 15, 2023 by @sagarchasm, the clip reached YouTube that February and set off Indian meme edits reusing the warning shout and the modified-bike punchline through late February 2023.

## Origin
Instagram page @sagarchasm uploaded the original clip on January 15, 2023, where it gathered roughly 1,800 likes over six months[1]. The video opens on several men chatting in a dimly lit outdoor spot before red and blue flashers appear in the distance; one of them shouts 'oye pols aa gyi pols!' and the group bolts, before the lights resolve into an older bearded man riding up on a bike. He explains in Punjabi, 'daro na modify kraaya hai,' revealing the police flashers were just part of his bike modification[4].

A larger reupload hit YouTube on February 4, 2023, when the account shitposting9834 posted the clip as a short that reached over 90,000 views in about a month[2]. Who shot or appeared in the original footage is not publicly documented; @sagarchasm is the earliest known poster rather than a confirmed creator.

## Overview
Posts in the Pols Aa Gyi Pols format tend to fall into two groups. One set uses the shouted 'pols aa gyi pols' line as a reaction caption on unrelated images or clips, playing on the comedy of a false police alarm[1]. The other reuses the bearded man's reply, 'daro na modify kraaya hai,' meaning 'don't be afraid, I just modified my bike,' as a punchline about overblown reactions[3].

A separate thread of edits took the old man in the blue turban, nicknamed the 'baba,' and turned him into a powerscaling figure said to outclass fictional characters by virtue of his bike mod[4]. Most of these posts circulated on Indian meme Instagram pages, where captions mix Hindi, Punjabi and English and lean on readers recognizing the original audio.

## How to Use
Most posts take one of two angles. In the first, creators pair an unrelated panic moment with the 'pols aa gyi pols' caption to joke about overreactions and false alarms. In the second, posts open with a setup that seems ominous and resolve with the bearded man's 'modify kraaya hai' line as the twist[3]. Powerscaling edits specifically cast the 'baba' character as a joke super-powered figure based on the surprise in the original clip[8].
