# Scoobert and Churchill Scoobert and Churchill are two grey toy poodles who became fan-edit mascots on TikTok and Twitter in late 2022, with Scoobert (real name Chiro) nicknamed by the parody page hyperpopdaily and Churchill minted days later by TikToker omnis.vfx. By December, powerscaling edits set the two dogs against each other using Ken Carson, Destroy Lonely and Playboi Carti songs tied to the OPIUM label. ## Origin Chiro's owner, @__mohu_c, began posting the toy poodle to Instagram in 2020 and moved to TikTok in 2022[3]. The meme ignition came on December 8th, 2022, when the Tumblr blog boysenb3rry reposted a photo of Chiro that collected around 11,100 notes within four days[5]. The next day, the parody Instagram page hyperpopdaily posted the same dog with the catchphrase "is he up next out of atlanta?" layered on top, racking up roughly 11,100 likes in three days[6]. hyperpopdaily nicknamed Chiro "Scoobert" on December 10th, 2022, in a video that invented a feud with another dog character called Gerald, pulling in about 20,400 views and 6,800 likes over two days[7]. Churchill was named five days later by TikToker omnis.vfx, who paired a grey poodle with Ken Carson and Destroy Lonely's "VETERAN"[2]. - **Platform:** Instagram / TikTok (viral spread) - **Creator:** hyperpopdaily (Scoobert nickname), omnis.vfx (Churchill nickname) - **Date:** 2022 ## Overview Scoobert is the fan-given nickname for Chiro, a chubby grey toy poodle whose owner @__mohu_c posts on TikTok and Instagram[1]. Churchill is a second grey poodle whose edits trailed Scoobert's by a week, giving fans a rival to pit him against in powerscaling videos[2]. Both dogs got pulled into the aesthetic world of OPIUM, the record label home to Playboi Carti, Ken Carson and Destroy Lonely, with edits coding the poodles as rap fans in archive fashion[3]. A typical Scoobert edit layers a slowed or chopped OPIUM-adjacent track over a photo of the dog looking blank, often with captions like "is he up next out of atlanta?" borrowed from the parody page hyperpopdaily[3]. Churchill edits lean on sinister sound design, like Homelander monologues or Ken Carson's "VETERAN," to frame him as the heel to Scoobert's face[2][4]. The joke works because the dogs are soft, small and visually unthreatening, and the audio treats them like underground rap villains. ## How It Spread The jump from Instagram to Twitter happened fast. On December 10th, 2022, hyperpopdaily's Twitter account HPDDAILY tweeted that "Scoobert has been indicted with RICO charges," riffing on the Young Thug and Gunna indictment, and the post gathered roughly 6,100 likes in two days[8]. TikTok picked up the format the next day when sanagummy posted a Scoobert fan edit on December 11th, 2022, hitting about 98,200 plays and 27,000 likes within a day[9]. Churchill arrived on December 15th, 2022, in a TikTok from omnis.vfx that nicknamed the second grey poodle and used "VETERAN" as the sound, drawing roughly 684,200 plays and 146,100 likes over 12 days[2]. Commenters immediately treated him as a rival, asking whether Scoobert finally had competition, and omnis.vfx kept posting Churchill videos to fuel the matchup[1]. Powerscaling edits followed, pitting the two dogs against each other with villain audio. On December 18th, 2022, TikToker sixtronz posted a Scoobert vs. Churchill video set to a Homelander sound, earning about 13,100 plays and 2,400 likes across nine days[4]. Other TikTokers like owens_tiktok ran their own iterations in the same window[10]. ## How to Use A standard Scoobert or Churchill post typically takes a photo or short clip of a grey toy poodle, overlays an OPIUM-adjacent song, and treats the dog as a rap-label signee or powerscaled fighter. Common conventions include RICO-charge jokes borrowed from the Young Thug and Gunna case, archive-fashion captions, and head-to-head edits that pit Scoobert against Churchill[8]. ## Frequently Asked Questions ### What is Scoobert and Churchill?
