# The Among Us Potion YouTuber Arcade Craniacs opened a May 2021 video by announcing he had 'ordered the Among Us potion from the dark web,' revealing a round glass bottle of red liquid[1]. Almost a year later, TikTokers started lip-dubbing the audio over slow reveals of embarrassing possessions, and by January 2023 single posts in the trend topped 14 million views[3]. ## Origin Arcade Craniacs uploaded the source video on May 16, 2021, titling it 'ORDERING AMONG US POTION FROM THE DARK WEB AT 3AM!! *IMPOSTOR*'[1]. The opening seconds, where he holds up the red bottle and delivers the title line, became the only portion of the three-minute clip that TikTok users later reused[7]. The upload passed three million YouTube views in its first year[1]. - **Platform:** YouTube (source), TikTok (viral spread) - **Creator:** Arcade Craniacs - **Date:** 2021 ## Overview On TikTok, posters play the Arcade Craniacs line over a reveal of some mundane but disgusting item, including crusty eyeshadow[4], a stained old sports bra[5], or cheap foundation ordered from Shein[6]. The joke recasts junk as sinister dark-web contraband, letting anything red-tinted or grimy stand in for the 'potion' itself[7]. Captions often reframe the item through a social scenario, like the April 2022 version where @random.....meme used the sound to describe a cousin's weird behavior[2]. Audio-only reuse was heavy in early 2023, when the clip circulated as a generic TikTok template that no longer required any Among Us reference[3]. ## How to Use Posters typically dub the Arcade Craniacs audio over a slow reveal of something gross, embarrassing, or weirdly cheap, like dirty makeup[4] or an old piece of clothing[5]. A common convention is to let the camera linger on the item at the exact moment the word 'potion' plays, so the voiceover and visual reveal line up. ## Frequently Asked Questions ### What is The Among Us Potion?
