# The Perfect Couple Stick Figures On February 3, 2021, Twitter user @obiwanfroggi posted a doodle of two near-identical stick figures holding hands, one labeled "can't do math" and the other "can do math," with the caption "the best relation dynamic." The tweet picked up over 500,000 likes in under two weeks, and users flooded the platform with their own versions just before Valentine's Day. By February 9, StayHipp was cataloguing variants pairing opposites like "hand warm" and "hand cold." ## Origin Twitter user @obiwanfroggi posted the original image on February 3, 2021, with the caption "the best relation dynamic"[1]. Above the left figure was the phrase "Can't do math," and above the right figure, "can do math." The tweet collected more than 500,000 likes and 100,000 retweets within two weeks of posting, making it the template everyone else copied[4]. The drawing itself is credited to @obiwanfroggi, who sketched the figures in a loose, uneven line style that later copycats kept close to the original aesthetic[1]. - **Platform:** Twitter - **Creator:** @obiwanfroggi - **Date:** 2021 ## Overview Each post in the format keeps the same hand-drawn template: two near-identical stick figures holding hands, with a one-line attribute scrawled above each head. The joke works on contrast, where one figure handles what the other can't, so the pair reads as complementary instead of matched[1]. Captions typically sit in two modes, a self-deprecating admission paired with a partner who has the missing skill, or an aspirational pairing that signals what the poster wants out of a relationship[3]. The labels in the original run skewed small and specific, covering practical mismatches like calculator skills, chronic online behavior versus offline calm, and body temperature differences[2][5]. Entries like @electratearsv's "craves constant love and attention" beside "loves them and is obsessed with them" leaned harder into romantic wish fulfillment[6]. The low effort of the drawing is part of the appeal, since replicating two circles with sticks and a handwritten caption takes under a minute. ## Frequently Asked Questions ### What is The Perfect Couple Stick Figures?
