Overview

TikTok Rizz Party is a photo meme built around a homemade paper flyer left on someone's car, with the words TikTok, Rizz, and Party stacked in big text and a promise of a free cover charge1. The image went viral because the flyer read like an attempt to bait Gen Z teens with a pile of scrambled slang, and the driver's reaction, written across the Instagram story as a warning to never put corny stuff on his car again, sold the joke2.

TikTok

As the image traveled, users started using TikTok Rizz Party as shorthand for anything that felt try-hard or cringe with Gen Z lingo, from real teenage parties to online edits5. In March 2024, a separate TikTok of teenage boys singing Kanye West's Carnival got baptized with the same nickname, and spinoffs like the TikTok Rizz Party Carnival Boys and TikTok Rizz Party Lore grew out of it7.

The flyer photo first appeared on Instagram user @23ryan_'s story on or before May 11, 2023, with a caption complaining about corny handouts left on his car2. A screenshot of that story was reposted the same day by X user @33roaaa, who wrote "florida is not real" and claimed the flyer was found in Florida, picking up a small early audience of around 18 likes over six months1.

The flyer itself lists TikTok Rizz Party as the event name with a free cover charge, and its awkward mash of platform branding with slang like rizz is what read as cringe to viewers who reposted it5.

How It Spread

The cropped flyer moved off X and into wider circulation across June 2023. On June 1, 2023, Instagram account @indianhoodmoments reposted it and pulled in roughly 2,400 likes in five months3. iFunny user @UnrelentingJuggernaut posted the image on June 7, 2023, gaining about 3,400 smiles in the same window4, and on June 13, 2023, X user @upblissed shared it for roughly 12,000 likes5.

TikTok reaction and remix videos followed close behind. A clip from TikToker @lookitsdante hit around 271,700 plays and 10,300 likes6, and on July 3, 2023, a stitch by TikToker @sherm101_ that used the flyer as a punchline climbed to about 1 million plays and 166,600 likes7. Image edits kept getting reposted on Instagram through late 20233.

In March 2024, a TikTok of teenage boys singing Carnival by Kanye West at what looked like a house party went viral, and viewers labeled the video the TikTok Rizz Party, tying it back to the flyer7. That clip spawned Carnival Boys character labels like Blue Tie as the leader and Tomato Boy as the helper, plus TikTok Rizz Party Lore posts mapping out who did what in the video8.
