# Tobey Maguire Face Tobey Maguire Face, also known as Spiderman Face or Creepy Tobey Maguire, is a reaction image pulled from the Spider-Man 3 blooper reel, built around a single frame of Maguire making a wide-eyed, slightly deranged grin[2]. Forum posters began sharing the still in 2009[1], and within a few years it became a rage comic character used to signal weirdness or innuendo[3]. ## Origin Sony released the Spider-Man 3 DVD on October 30th, 2007, and the specific frame that became the meme sits inside a bloopers montage of Maguire pulling faces between takes[2]. The clip itself did nothing for about eighteen months before posters started pulling screenshots of it. The earliest tracked usage was a March 16th, 2009 post by user PhillyPG1 on NikeTalk[6], though that image is no longer available. One week later, on March 23rd, 2009, BodyBuilding forum user h4h4 posted the still in a thread called "LET me SEE YOUR WAR FACE," which is the oldest surviving instance of the frame being used as a reaction[1]. - **Platform:** Forums (NikeTalk, BodyBuilding) / ragefaces.memesoftware.com (rage comic spread) - **Creator:** Unknown - **Date:** 2009 ## Overview The still itself comes from a montage of Maguire mugging for the camera during the Spider-Man 3 DVD extras, released by Sony on October 30th, 2007[2]. In the clip he stretches his face into an exaggerated open-mouthed stare that reads as both confused and slightly lecherous, which is why posters later paired it with innuendo captions[4]. The rage comic version strips the photo down to a black-and-white line drawing with the same bug-eyed expression, dropping it into the standard four-panel setup alongside other faces in the rage library[3]. People still post the raw photo as a reaction image when a comment feels off, horny, or oddly menacing, and the drawn version shows up in rage comic reposts and reaction packs. ## How to Use Posters typically drop the raw frame as a reply when someone says something slightly off, horny, or unexpectedly dark, letting the wide-eyed expression do the implying. The rage comic version is often used as the final panel of a comic to deliver a punchline that does not need words. ## Frequently Asked Questions ### What is Tobey Maguire Face?
