# Tra La La SpongeBob A warped SpongeBob SquarePants animation set to a mashup of The Banana Splits and Mickey Mouse Clubhouse theme songs blew up on TikTok in October 2026, with absurdist edits spilling onto YouTube and X. Tra La La SpongeBob fuses audio from a web series called Ethan's Clubhouse with cartoon animation traced from a 2019 OneyPlays rap battle, combining more than a decade of past internet references into a brainrot package. By mid-October 2026, a single X post about the clip had passed 3.4 million views. ## Origin On September 16th, 2026, TikToker @ethansclubhouse posted the first episode of a web series called Ethan's Clubhouse, opening with a mashup of The Banana Splits theme and the Mickey Mouse Clubhouse jingle[1]. That audio clip became the backing track for the meme, drawing more than 1.2 million views within four weeks. The visual half traces back years earlier. Calobi Productions animated the hopping SpongeBob figure for a Cartoon Rap Battle video uploaded to YouTube on February 23rd, 2019, which has since passed 3.3 million views[2]. YouTuber AnimationRewind released a full origin breakdown on October 5th, 2026, documenting the audio side alongside the traced visual, including a borrowed snippet from Zach Hadel's 'Get Out of My Car'[8]. - **Platform:** TikTok (audio) / YouTube (visual source) - **Creator:** Unknown - **Date:** 2026 ## Overview Each clip sets a wobbly SpongeBob SquarePants outside his pineapple house against the kazoo-driven 'Tra La La' refrain from The Banana Splits, blended into a Mickey Mouse Clubhouse mashup first posted by TikToker @ethansclubhouse[1]. Editors typically stretch and deep-fry the animation so SpongeBob flops around like a melting toy, matching the chaotic brainrot aesthetic that defined 2026 TikTok humor[4]. Beyond the straight audio-visual edit, posts riff on the song's bouncy rhythm by syncing it to unrelated characters or scenes from The Banana Splits Movie, with captions playing up SpongeBob's exaggerated expressions[5]. The animation itself borrows liberally from older internet art, including a Zach Hadel sequence from his 2017 video 'Get Out of My Car'[3]. ## How to Use Creators typically layer the Ethan's Clubhouse audio over the SpongeBob clip, adding warping effects or captions that play up the goofy expressions[9]. More recent variants replace the SpongeBob visual entirely and sync the song to other cartoons or random clips. ## Frequently Asked Questions ### What is Tra La La SpongeBob?
