# Ultra Instinct Remixes Ultra Instinct Remixes are fan-made video edits built around Goku's power-up scene from the October 2017 episode of Dragon Ball Super, pairing the fight footage with dubstep drops or splicing the audio into unrelated action movies. The format kicked off within hours of the episode airing and became a go-to template for anime AMV remixers through late 2017. ## Origin The Ultra Instinct state was introduced earlier in the Dragon Ball canon through the Resurrection 'F' manga and film in 2015, where the attendant Whis demonstrates the technique and explains it to Goku[1][2]. Toei Animation did not put the move on Goku himself until October 8th, 2017, when the Dragon Ball Super episode 'Son Goku Wakes! New Level of the Awakened!!' aired and gave the character his first full Ultra Instinct transformation during the Tournament of Power arc[3]. The remix format emerged the same day the episode aired. On October 8th, 2017, YouTuber DUBSTEP NATION uploaded 'Goku's Ultra Instinct Transformation Dubstep Remix,' the earliest documented edit of the transformation clip, which pulled over 5,500 views in its first month[4]. - **Platform:** Dragon Ball Super anime (source) / YouTube (viral spread) - **Creator:** DUBSTEP NATION (earliest known remix) - **Date:** 2017 ## Overview Ultra Instinct Remixes are YouTube video edits based on Goku's transformation into the Ultra Instinct form during his fight with Jiren in Dragon Ball Super[3]. Remixers typically take the raw episode footage and overlay a dubstep track that drops exactly when Goku's hair goes silver and his aura flares out, syncing the bass hits to each punch and dodge[1]. A second branch of the format swaps the direction, keeping Goku's original fight audio, the screams, impact sounds and the show's score, while cutting the picture to unrelated action scenes from live-action films[6]. The joke lands because the Dragon Ball Super sound design is so chaotic and overblown that mapping it onto a normal action beat makes the live-action character look impossibly fast[6]. Both branches lean on how recognizable the Ultra Instinct silhouette and sound effects are to anime viewers. ## Frequently Asked Questions ### What is Ultra Instinct Remixes?
