# What You See vs. What She Sees What You See vs. What She Sees is a two-panel image macro that contrasts a man's imagined view during oral sex with the far less flattering overhead view the woman actually sees. The format took shape on Twitter across 2015 and 2016 before Ethan Klein of h3h3 Productions became its most-circulated subject in January 2017. ## Origin Twitter user @BiiankCaroliina posted one of the earliest 'what you see' pair-ups on November 11, 2015, contrasting a photo of a man and woman kissing with the same woman kissing a stack of money[2]. The sexual framing locked in on July 13, 2016, when @MiekRussPls tweeted a version that paired a pornographic still with M. Bison from Street Fighter under the caption 'what u see vs what she sees,' pulling over 240 retweets and 500 likes[4]. The original artist of the meme format is not confirmed; @MiekRussPls is the earliest documented poster of the sexual two-panel version that later caught on[4]. - **Platform:** Twitter (origin) / Reddit (viral spread) - **Creator:** Unknown - **Date:** 2015 ## Overview The template sits two images side by side under the caption 'what u see vs what she sees.' The left panel shows an attractive woman in a suggestive pose, while the right panel shows an unflattering top-down view of a man staring downward, often swapped out for a cartoon character, celebrity, or animal for comedic effect[3]. Common replacements include M. Bison from the Street Fighter anime[4] and a dog peering down from above[5]. The joke draws on a wider perspective-swap format that predates the sexual version. Buzzfeed ran an early 'What You See vs. What They See' listicle on May 24, 2012, pairing how owners view their pets with how pets view their owners[1]. The NSFW read on that structure became the version most people now recognize. ## How to Use Edits typically keep the two-panel layout with 'what u see' on the left and 'what she sees' on the right. The left side often stays as a stock sexualized image while the right side gets swapped for a cartoon villain, meme face, celebrity, or animal to deliver the punchline. ## Frequently Asked Questions ### What is What You See vs. What She Sees?
