# When I Got The X Autism Instead Of Being Good At Math Or Science On May 29, 2023, TikToker @patisseriepop posted a short clip of themselves kneeling in a pink dress and oversized pink bow, captioned with a joke about getting the rhythm game autism instead of the math or science autism. The format spread after a June repost to X, and by late summer 2023 Instagram and Tumblr accounts were filling the blank with their own niche obsessions. ## Origin On May 29, 2023, TikToker @patisseriepop posted a video of themselves in a pink dress and oversized pink bow, falling to their knees under overlay text that read "When I get the rhythm game autism instead of the being good at math or science autism"[1]. The clip gathered over three million plays and more than 400,000 likes within five months of upload[6]. The joke references how autistic hyperfixations sometimes produce the stereotyped math or science affinity, and other times produce an interest society treats as impractical. @patisseriepop's chosen example, rhythm games, set up the whole X variable structure that later edits played with. - **Platform:** TikTok (origin) / X (viral spread) - **Creator:** @patisseriepop (also known as @janpyonmagic on X) - **Date:** 2023 ## Overview The format works by taking a still of @patisseriepop collapsing to their knees in a pink dress and giant pink bow, then overlaying a caption that names a specific niche obsession in the first slot while keeping the "being good at math or science" clause intact[1]. Common fills include rhythm games, nu metal fandom and plushie collecting, with the humor coming from mock despair that the poster's special interest never translated into STEM aptitude[2][5]. The tone of When I Got The X Autism Instead Of Being Good At Math Or Science leans self deprecating and in jokey, and most variants stick close to the original wording so the template reads instantly to anyone who has seen the source TikTok[6]. Edits usually keep the pink bow image untouched and only rework the top text, which is why the format spread cleanly across X, Instagram and Tumblr without losing its visual signature. ## Frequently Asked Questions ### What is When I Got The X Autism Instead Of Being Good At Math Or Science?
