# Y'all Wanna Hear A Story About Why Me & This Bitch Here Fell Out?! This catchphrase meme comes from a viral 2015 Twitter thread by @_zolarmoon, whose opening line was later adapted into the 2021 A24 film Zola. After the trailer landed in March 2021, Twitter users began captioning images of famously feuding duos with the quote, from Marina and Charli XCX to characters out of The Social Network and Succession. ## Origin On October 27, 2015, Twitter user @_zolarmoon (A'Ziah King) began her now-iconic thread with the opening line, 'Y'all wanna hear a story about why me & this bitch here fell out?! It's kinda long but full of suspense'[5]. The thread, chronicling a wild Florida trip, inspired the 2021 A24 film Zola. On March 31, 2021, the Zola trailer released and opened with the same quote[7]. Two days later, on April 2, 2021, Twitter user @commieeangel applied the line to side-by-side images of pop singers Marina and Charli XCX, gathering over 300 retweets and 3,400 likes[1]. - **Platform:** Twitter (2015 thread) / Twitter (viral spread in 2021) - **Creator:** @_zolarmoon (A'Ziah King) - **Date:** 2021 ## Overview Posts follow a two-image template of a famous duo with a known conflict or breakup, captioned with the Zola thread's opening line[1]. The humor runs on recognition: readers see the two faces, remember the beef, and mentally supply the long suspenseful story the quote promises[2]. Early examples drew from pop music, prestige drama, and movies with messy betrayals at their core[3]. Authors rarely wrote the actual story out. The caption alone did the work, which was the point[4]. ## How to Use To make a post, write the full quote above two images of a known duo with a dramatic falling-out[1]. Common subjects include real-life musicians or actors, siblings in a prestige TV drama, or two sides of a single character like a Jekyll-and-Hyde split[6]. ## Frequently Asked Questions ### What is Y'all Wanna Hear A Story About Why Me & This Bitch Here Fell Out?!?
