# Young Thug and Lil Durk Troubleshooting A June 2018 studio photo of rappers Young Thug and Lil Durk hunched over a computer screen turned into a viral reaction image on Twitter, powered entirely by Thug's intensely focused glare. Within a week it became the go-to template for jokes about angry parents, military war rooms, and anyone squinting at a glitchy screen. ## Origin The source photo is from a 2018 recording session where Young Thug was mixing Lil Durk's album, a detail Durk himself confirmed years later in a Reddit AMA where he wrote that Thug "was mixing my album, he engineered it"[3]. Durk shared a different angle from the same session to his Instagram on June 13th, 2018[1]. One of the first widely circulated reaction-image uses came from Twitter user @youngfishgod, whose post pulled over 62,000 retweets and 192,000 likes and effectively launched the format[3]. The exact first photoshop is not documented, but by mid-June the picture was already running wild across Twitter[2]. - **Platform:** Instagram (source photo) / Twitter (viral spread) - **Creator:** Unknown - **Date:** 2018 ## Overview Young Thug and Lil Durk Troubleshooting is a reaction image built around a single studio snapshot where Thug stares daggers at a computer monitor while Durk leans in beside him[1]. The joke works because Thug looks less like a rapper mixing a track and more like a special-forces operator reading nuclear launch codes, and most edits lean into that disconnect[2]. The format splits into two main lanes. One lane photoshops the screen into something absurdly low-stakes, like a Flash game or a Barbie dress-up site, so the furious concentration reads as overkill[2]. The other lane keeps the intensity straight and drops the pair into high-pressure fictional scenes, including Situation Room shots and sci-fi control rooms, with Thug cast as the mission lead[3]. Captions typically frame him as an angry dad fighting a printer or a general assessing a threat. ## Frequently Asked Questions ### What is Young Thug and Lil Durk Troubleshooting?
