This page lists the cookies and similar browser storage meme.com uses, in plain terms, and how to turn off what's optional.
We do not use advertising or retargeting cookies or pixels, and we do not use Google Analytics with Google Signals or Ads linking. Analytics is on by default (see "Analytics" below) and you can turn it off at any time.
Cookie settings
Use the Cookie settings link in the footer of any page to turn Google Analytics on or off. The change applies immediately, on this device.
Necessary
These keep the site working and are not switches you can turn off individually. If you block them in your browser some features (staying signed in, keeping your wallet connected) will not work.
meme_auth_account: a cookie that keeps you signed in across meme.com and labs.meme.com.- Sign-in and session storage: your session token and a cached copy of your profile, kept in this browser's local storage so you don't have to sign in again on every visit.
- Wallet connection storage: when you connect an EVM or Solana wallet, our wallet-connect provider (Reown AppKit / WalletConnect) stores connection details and session data in this browser's local storage and a small local database, so you don't have to reconnect on every visit. We never store your private keys or seed phrase.
- In-progress flow markers: short-lived flags (cleared automatically) used while you're in the middle of a sign-in or account-linking step, for example connecting X (Twitter).
- UI preferences: small local settings such as whether you've muted in-app sound, or dismissed a banner or notice, so we don't show it again.
meme_analytics_optout: our own cookie, set only if you turn Analytics off below. It records that choice for up to a year so we don't ask again.
Analytics
_gaand_ga_<container ID>: set by Google Analytics 4, only while Analytics is switched on for you, to distinguish visitors and sessions and measure which pages people read.
You can turn this off any time with the Cookie settings link in the footer. You can also opt out of Google Analytics on all websites with Google's opt-out browser add-on, and block or delete cookies in your browser's own settings.
Bot protection
Our sign-up form uses Cloudflare Turnstile to tell people apart from bots. Turnstile may set its own cookie or similar identifier in your browser while it runs that check; we don't control what Cloudflare sets there. See Cloudflare's privacy policy for details.
