1. Introduction and acceptance
Welcome to meme.com, operated by Meme Limited, a company registered under the laws of Gibraltar ("Company", "we", "us"). These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the meme.com website, its games and any related services we provide (together, the "Services").
By accessing or using the Services you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Services.
Privacy Policy. How we collect and use personal data is described in our Privacy Policy, which forms part of these Terms.
Changes. We may update these Terms from time to time. When we make material changes we will update the "Last updated" date above and tell logged-in users on the site. If you keep using the Services after an update, you accept the updated Terms. If you do not agree to them, stop using the Services.
2. Eligibility
You must be at least 18 years old, or the age of legal majority where you live if that is higher, to create an account or take part in games and rewards. You are responsible for making sure your use of the Services is legal where you live. Do not use the Services where that use is prohibited.
3. Accounts and sign-in
You can sign in by connecting a crypto wallet (signing a message with it), with a one-time link or code sent to your email, or through Discord or X (Twitter). You agree to provide accurate information and to keep your sign-in methods secure. You are responsible for activity under your account.
Wallets are yours, not ours. meme.com is non-custodial. We never hold your crypto assets and never ask for your private keys or seed phrase. Transactions you make with a connected wallet are executed on the relevant blockchain, not by us, and cannot be reversed. Wallet software (for example MetaMask or Phantom) is provided by third parties under their own terms.
Connected social accounts. When you connect X we receive read-only access to your basic profile information and posts; we cannot post on your behalf. When you connect Discord we receive your basic profile information and can add you to the meme.com Discord server when you choose to join it. We use these connections for sign-in, quests and community features.

4. Memescore, games and digital collectibles
Memescore has no monetary value. Memescore and any other points, badges or in-game rewards ("Points") are for entertainment only. Points:
- are not money, property or a financial product;
- cannot be sold, bought from other users, cashed out or exchanged for money, crypto, tokens, NFTs or anything else of monetary value;
- cannot be transferred between users, except as the result of the rules of a game (for example when a prediction game or race pays out);
- do not entitle you to any token, airdrop or asset, now or in the future.
We may give you Points as a bonus, for example when you complete a quest or collect a digital collectible. Such bonus Points follow the same rules and have no monetary value.
Games. The Services include games played with Points, such as prediction games, races and voting contests. They are played with memescore only; no real money is involved. Each game shows its own rules on the page where it is played, and on our Game rules page. Some games take a fee in Points (for example a house fee on a race pool). Game results are final, except where we find an error, cheating or abuse, in which case we may correct balances.
Changes to Points and games. We may change, limit, reset or discontinue Points or any game at any time, including to fix errors or stop abuse. We are not liable for any lost Points or expected rewards.
Digital collectibles. Some features let you mint a digital collectible (for example a soulbound token that cannot be transferred) by paying a fee from your own wallet to a smart contract. Before you confirm, the page shows the fee and what you receive. Minting is final and non-refundable once the transaction is confirmed on the blockchain, except where the law says otherwise. We do not promise that a collectible has or will keep any value.
5. Third-party products and partner links
Some pages show products from partners, such as merchandise, and link to other shops. Purchases are made with that shop, under its terms, and not with us. We do not currently receive any payment or commission for these links. If that changes, we will clearly label paid or affiliate placements.
6. Your content
When you add content to the Services, such as a username, a profile image, a meme submission or a suggested edit to an article ("User Content"):
- you confirm that you own it or have the right to share it, and that it does not break the law or anyone else's rights, including copyright, privacy and publicity rights;
- you give us a worldwide, royalty-free, non-exclusive licence to host, display, adapt and distribute it to run and promote the Services;
- you must not post content that is illegal, infringing, harassing, defamatory, fraudulent, pornographic, hateful or that encourages illegal activity.
We may review, refuse or remove User Content and suspend accounts that break these Terms. To report content, use our report form or email legal [at] meme.com with the page address and the reason.
7. Prohibited use
You must not:
- use the Services for anything unlawful, fraudulent or deceptive, including money laundering, sanctions evasion or market manipulation;
- create multiple accounts or use bots or scripts to farm Points, rewards or votes, or otherwise manipulate games, rankings or leaderboards;
- try to access accounts, systems or data you are not authorised to access, or interfere with the Services (for example malware or denial-of-service attacks);
- collect other users' data without their consent;
- use the Services to advertise or solicit without our permission.
Automated access to public pages is allowed within the limits of our robots.txt.
We may suspend or close accounts, remove Points and reverse game results when we reasonably believe these rules were broken.
8. Articles and information on meme.com
Our wiki articles explain memes and their history. They are written with the help of automated tools, including AI, and are based on the sources cited in each article. They may still contain mistakes. Memes, images and other works described or shown on meme.com belong to their respective creators and owners.
If you think an article is wrong, or that something on meme.com infringes your rights or concerns you personally, use our report form or email legal [at] meme.com. Include the page address, what you want changed or removed, and why. Copyright notices should also identify the work, confirm you own it or act for the owner, and state that the information is accurate. See our copyright & takedown policy for the full procedure. We review every notice and remove or correct material where appropriate. We close the accounts of repeat infringers.
9. Intellectual property
The meme.com name, logo, design, software and our own compilation of content belong to us or our licensors. We give you a limited, personal, non-transferable licence to use the Services as intended. You may not copy, modify or distribute our content except as part of normal use or as the law allows.
If you send us feedback or ideas, we may use them freely without paying you.
10. No investment advice and crypto risk
The Services are for entertainment and information. Nothing on meme.com, including memecoin prices and market data, articles, prediction games or content from other users, is financial, investment or trading advice, or a recommendation to buy, sell or hold any asset. We are not a broker, exchange, bank or financial adviser, and no regulator has approved the Services.
Crypto assets are highly volatile and can lose all their value. Blockchain transactions are irreversible, and smart contracts and wallets can fail or be attacked. Laws on crypto assets differ between countries and change. You alone are responsible for your decisions and for complying with the law where you live. Do your own research.
11. Disclaimer of warranties
The Services are provided "as is" and "as available". To the fullest extent the law allows, we give no warranties of any kind, express or implied, including that the Services will be uninterrupted, secure or error-free, or that content, prices or data are accurate or up to date. Features marked as beta may not work as expected.
12. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent the law allows, Meme Limited and its affiliates, directors, employees and partners are not liable for:
- indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or loss of profits, revenue, data or opportunity;
- loss of crypto assets, tokens, NFTs or Points, including through wallet errors, smart contract failures, hacks or market movements;
- content posted by users or third parties, or disputes between users.
Our total liability to you for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us in the six months before the claim, or zero if you paid us nothing.
Nothing in these Terms limits liability for fraud, gross negligence, wilful misconduct, death or personal injury caused by negligence, or any liability that cannot be limited by law. If you are a consumer, you keep the mandatory rights the law where you live gives you.
13. Indemnity
You agree to compensate Meme Limited and its affiliates, directors, employees and agents for claims, losses and reasonable costs (including legal fees) arising from your breach of these Terms, your breach of the law or anyone's rights, or your User Content.
14. Suspension and termination
You can stop using the Services at any time. To close your account, email legal [at] meme.com; we handle these requests manually.
We may suspend or end your access, in whole or in part, if you break these Terms or the law, if you create risk or legal exposure for us, or if we stop offering the Services. Sections that by their nature should survive termination (such as intellectual property, disclaimers, limitation of liability and governing law) continue to apply.
15. Governing law and disputes
These Terms are governed by the laws of Gibraltar. The courts of Gibraltar have jurisdiction over disputes arising from these Terms or the Services. If you are a consumer, you may also have the right to bring a claim in the courts where you live, and nothing here removes that right.
16. General
These Terms, with the Privacy Policy, are the whole agreement between you and us about the Services. If a provision is found invalid, the rest remains in force. If we do not enforce a right, we have not waived it. You may not transfer your rights under these Terms. We may transfer ours as part of a merger, acquisition or reorganisation. We are not liable for delays caused by events outside our reasonable control. The English version of these Terms prevails over any translation.
