meme.com respects the intellectual property rights of others and expects users of the Services to do the same. This page explains how to report content you believe infringes your copyright or other rights, and what happens after you report it.
Filing a notice
To report a page or image on meme.com, use our report form or email legal [at] meme.com. Please include:
- the work you claim is infringed, described clearly enough for us to identify it;
- the page address (URL) on meme.com where the material appears;
- your contact details (name and email address) so we can follow up;
- a statement that you are the copyright owner, or authorised to act on the owner's behalf;
- a good-faith statement that the use is not authorised by the copyright owner, its agent or the law;
- a statement, made under penalty of perjury, that the information in your notice is accurate.
A notice that is missing this information may take longer for us to act on, or we may need to ask you for more details before we can review it.
What happens next
We review every notice we receive. Where a notice is well-founded we remove or disable access to the reported material. Depending on the situation, we may notify the person who uploaded or contributed the content. We close the accounts of users who repeatedly infringe others' rights.
If you think we removed something by mistake
If you believe content was removed or disabled by mistake (for example because you have the right to use it, or it is not actually infringing), email legal [at] meme.com explaining why. We will review your request and respond.
