Overview

The reaction wave took shape as short-form TikTok tributes in three recurring formats: emotional grief posts, cheer routine recreations from Bring It On: All or Nothing, and family reaction clips capturing loved ones learning the news3. Creators leaned on Panettiere's presence in projects with predominantly Black casts, framing her as a childhood fixture rather than a distant celebrity6. The tone mixed genuine mourning with the affectionate humor common to Black TikTok obituary content, where cheer routines and quoted movie lines stood in for eulogies4.

Users described Panettiere as one of the few white actresses embraced by parts of the Black community, pointing to Remember the Titans and the Bring It On sequel as the shared cultural touchpoints7.
