A September 2023 screenshot of a text exchange where one person asked to try rizzing another up, got a casual "Sure LOL," and answered with a wall of "PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE" turned into a widely edited two-panel format. After @pipluptiny posted the chat to X, fans attached Spider-Man characters to Reddit edits, and by late 2023 TikTokers were setting a voiced-over cut of the audio over Genshin Impact animations.

Overview

The joke works because the sender frames rizzing as a confident, deliberate act, then immediately collapses into desperate pleading1. Rizz, short for charisma, means skill at flirting, so promising a demonstration and delivering only "PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE" flips the premise entirely. Fans latched onto the two-panel structure for photoshops, casting fictional characters as each speaker so the dynamic reads like an in-character exchange2.

A voiced-over TikTok cut gave the format a second life as an animation prompt4. Short cartoons place the "PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE" audio over characters from Genshin Impact and other fandoms, usually with one begging while the other watches with casual amusement5. Edits range widely in tone, with Spider-Man variants and animated shorts sitting next to simple reaction captions3.
