I Might Go Homeless?
Published October 28, 2026
I Might Go Homeless?, also known as Supporting X in a Y Family, is a run of exploitable edits based on the opening panel of a December 2023 webcomic by X user @Donut_tweetz. After she announced in June 2024 that she had actually become homeless, posters flooded X with fandom-themed parodies of the panel, from Skibidi Toilet to Neon Genesis Evangelion.
Overview
Each edit keeps the original layout: a worried character with 'I might go homeless..?' floating overhead, followed by panels explaining the family argument driving the title1. Posters rewrite the caption to insert a fandom or franchise, so a Skibidi Toilet fan declares the fear of eviction after supporting the toilets in a camera-head family3, and an Evangelion fan does the same with a different unit pilot in the panels7. The joke doubles when the parody account later quote-tweets its own thread to announce it, too, has 'become homeless,' copying the author's June 2024 update2. The tone is deliberately absurd, which many posters played into and others criticized, with X user @LinaTheWeirdooo calling the jokes callous9.

How to Use This Meme
Posters typically redraw or crop the opening panel with their own character, keep the 'I might go homeless..?' bubble above the head, and change the title to 'Supporting X in a Y Family' with their chosen fandom plugged in. A follow-up quote-tweet declaring the character became homeless often finishes the bit, mirroring @Donut_tweetz's June 2024 update3.
