I'm So Sick Of This Fucking School is a reaction clip from a 2011 South Park episode where Eric Cartman shakes a lunch table and screams the title line in frustration. The scene floated around as a reaction GIF for over a decade before becoming the base layer for a wave of funk and phonk remixes on TikTok in late 2026.

Overview

I'm So Sick Of This Fucking School is a reaction format built around a short South Park moment where Eric Cartman slams and shakes a cafeteria table while shouting the title line at Kyle, Stan and Kenny1. Posters use it as a static GIF or short loop to react to any school-related gripe, from homework posts to first-day-of-semester complaints, and the clip picked up steady traction every fall as classes started back up2.

The format mutated hard in late 2026, when TikTok editors started layering the clip with funk, phonk and Sparta Remix style audio and chopping Cartman's shake into looping, bass-heavy brainrot edits3. The joke sits somewhere between genuine school-hating relatability and the absurdist overediting typical of brainrot content, where the original line is barely intelligible under the beat4.

The scene originates from South Park season 15, episode 4, "T.M.I.," which aired on May 18th, 2011, and features Cartman losing his temper over his school day5. The earliest known YouTube upload of the clip was posted by the channel MomoFlaesk on March 8th, 2012, under the title "Cartman Raging," and it collected over 253,000 views in the years that followed6.

The clip crossed into reaction GIF territory on September 23rd, 2016, when a black-and-white looping version was uploaded to Tenor by an unknown user with the caption "I Am So Sick Of This Fucking School!!!"1. The official South Park Tenor account later posted a cleaner color version on September 17th, 2021, which helped normalize it as a shareable reaction1.

How It Spread

The clip circulated quietly as a reaction GIF through the late 2010s and early 2020s, mostly reappearing each August and September as users posted it in back-to-school threads1. TikTok editors began folding it into sludge content and absurd school-length jokes by 2023, with user sourth10081 posting a sword-slicing mobile game sludge edit on April 9th, 2023 that pulled in over 35,000 views2. On October 25th, 2023, TikToker southpxrk.kenny used the clip in a joke about being in school for an absurdly short time, which climbed past 363,100 likes3.

The real surge arrived in September 2026, when TikTok creators started turning the scene into funk, phonk and brainrot remixes1. On September 23rd, 2026, user jaydenuhhh1 posted an edit referencing the Sparta Remix meme in the caption and racked up more than 82,700 likes in under a week4. The next day, polska_5520 reworked the clip into a short song that drew around 570 likes5, and by September 28th, 2026, foursito's funk edit paired with an Alight Motion animation had cleared 6,670 likes in 24 hours6.

Other creators piled on with their own spins: kai.hale4 cut the clip against other Cartman scenes to rank which class periods made him happy or furious, pulling in 11,900 likes in a day7, while additional edits from accounts like blitzo881, kingofbluecrashout and fr0sti_555 kept the sound rolling through the back-to-school window8.
