Overview

The format stacks two or more screencaps of SpongeBob mid-laugh, sometimes topped with Algiark's 2011 Enel-face edit, positioned as a mocking reaction to a setup line above3. The joke almost always targets a perceived double standard, with the laughing panel standing in for whichever group the poster is calling out for hypocrisy2. Its tone leans edgy and confrontational, which pushed it firmly into /r/dankmemes territory rather than mainstream reaction-image spaces4.
