What does Yes Chad mean?

The 'Yes' response flips insults by proudly accepting them, killing the accusation instead of denying it, a pattern kept intact by later edits like the @joerogarn variation.

How do you use Yes Chad?

Pair the Chad with a soyjak or another Wojak throwing out a criticism, then have the Chad answer 'Yes,' as shown in early edits like @C0atThe's August 2nd, 2019 post.

Overview

Yes Chad, also called Nordic Gamer, is a drawn image of a blond, blue-eyed man with a thick beard, usually captioned with a single word: 'Yes'4. The character sits in the same Wojak-adjacent 4chan lineage that produced Trad Girl and later the soyjak family, all built on simple hand-drawn faces meant to stand in for cultural archetypes5.

The image works as both a reaction and an exploitable, with users adding text on either side of the frame to set up the Chad's dry 'Yes'1. The joke turns on the character agreeing with an insult rather than dodging it, a flip that later variations like @joerogarn's kept intact2.

How to Use This Meme

Users typically build Yes Chad memes as a two-panel image, with a soyjak, Trad Girl, or another Wojak on the left throwing out an accusation and the bearded Chad on the right answering with a flat 'Yes'1. The joke lands by owning the criticism rather than rebutting it, so the setup text is often written as an insult, condescension, or a gatekeeping attempt2. Common variations swap the plain 'Yes' for a short affirmation of whatever the other character intended as shame.
