Drake's Pomni Shirt refers to a scene in Drake's self-funded short film FOMO where the rapper tries on official Amazing Digital Circus merchandise during a Hot Topic 'emo makeover' with cosplayer Pinkchyu. The mid-September 2026 clip sent TADC fans and rap Twitter into a shared spiral, spawning the crossover reaction meme of the month.

Overview

Drake's Pomni Shirt, also called Drake 'FOMO' TADC Sweater, is a screenshot meme built around a single wardrobe choice: a gray Hot Topic sweatshirt printed with Pomni, the jester-hatted protagonist of Glitch Productions' animated series The Amazing Digital Circus1. The image comes from a Hot Topic 'emo makeover' bit in Drake's self-funded short film FOMO, where goth cosplayer Pinkchyu dresses the rapper in a stack of alt outfits before he lands on the TADC merch2.

The joke works because of the collision it captures. TADC has a young, extremely-online animation audience, and seeing a 39-year-old Grammy-winning rapper voluntarily wearing their niche cartoon merch reads as either the ultimate co-sign or the most embarrassing thing possible, depending on which side of the crossover you sit on3. Reactions leaned hard into existing Drake discourse, including his feud with Kendrick Lamar and the running bit that he keeps trying to appear younger or more relatable4.

The shirt appears in FOMO, a self-funded short film Drake released in mid-September 2026 featuring cosplayer Pinkchyu, the goth girl he had already gone viral alongside in August 20261. In the scene, Pinkchyu takes Drake to a Hot Topic for an 'emo makeover' and hands him several outfits to try on, including the gray Pomni sweatshirt1.

The meme itself did not come from Drake or Pinkchyu but from viewers clipping the moment. On September 16th, 2026, X user @HYPEX posted a still of Drake in the sweater during the FOMO premiere, joking that it looked like the Fortnite skin version of the character. That post pulled roughly 1.4 million views and 25,330 likes in about a day2. Drake developed the film; the meme format was created by fans who clipped and captioned the Hot Topic scene.
